New Transformers announced, a sequel to this one, called Fall of Cybertron.

Revealed today as Game Informer's November cover, Activision and High Moon Studios unveiled Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the follow-up to 2009's generally liked non-movie Transformers game, Transformers: War for Cybertron.

Was really hoping they'd move the setting to Earth if they were to do a sequel, at least for a few levels.

Loved WFC though, online was pretty fun.

Agreed, worst thing about the MP was nobody was really on for long. I think everyone avoided it due to all the other Transformers games being a pile of shit.

yeh the domination type mode on wfc was one of the most exciting/fast paced gametypes of any online game i've ever played!

it was just borderline impossible to play at the old house with the shit net with the way the classes were set up though...super epic game though and would still definitely recommend even for just the dual single player campaign (as autobot and decepticon). just a pity the online had such little legs cause of such a little player base to pick from

Yeah towards the end only had a few 1000 people in the world playing. All the Robot types were well balanced, pumped quite a few hours into the MP.

FINALLY finished the campaign tonight since I've had a bit of time to get into some past games I've not yet finished (next up Bioshock!). It was a great end to a pretty damn good campaign, but I know what my trepidation was with going back to the game, the chapters are just too long. I'd say each one goes for about an hour and it just requires time if you're gonna get through it.

Also hands down the best credits song ever!

Hands down? Is it THAT much better than "Still Alive"?

Wish I'd had more time at it too. My son turns 1 in November but it feels like the last two years that I haven't had time to do much of anything.

Bought the sequel today, hopefully it's as good if not better than this release.

I'm playing through this now, it's been on my shelf for 9 months waiting to be completed.

Then I'll probably jump into the sequel.

Campaign is a little different you play more lone wolf, good and bad. Good is they script the levels better to the type of robot, i.e a creeping level for your cloaker, bash and smash for Grimlock.

Bad is it no longer has the 3 player co-op of the original.

Loved WFC and FoC, massive nostalgia fest and really enjoyable games.

Won't get this new one though, Bay has destroyed enough of my childhood already, that man has much to answer for!

WFC was brilliant. I traded all my old games in recently.. and on the receipt WFC netted me more than newer games like Skyrim. Asked the guy behind the counter why that was, he said WFC had low numbers in circulation and was really sought after amongst gamers so is in high demand still.

Yeah I'm disappointed activision are going the money angle by tying in the Bay movies. Much prefer the High Moon storyline of WFC & FoC
