OhAt what point

These kids are already match winners in the NEAFL, Towers, Jack and Biggs in particular. Direct replacements with speed and hunger that are made for the modern game and Longmires gameplan.
Id still get a kick in the NEAFL

They got beaten by players who can't get a game for GWS. 84-46 and then 86-78 (31 scoring shots to 18)

Biggs is coming off a interrupted pre season but could be a replacement for a half back flanker role
B.Jack would be the perfect small forward except he has been down on form in the Reserves
Towers is ready to go but what position in the senior side? Half back, wing, half forward.

Not saying we don't have players ready to go, just we have to get it right

Could it be the drain of playing in a league you don't belong in because of match committee? Kid has already blown open quarters at AFL level.
Get him in first!

I wouldn't say so. He performed better last year and has yet to find that form this year.

There could be other issues at play such as fitness

I remember him starring throughout pre season trials and contested match sim so that would be a surprise.

Punts,

Whilst I agree with the fact that a change is required, look at the results of the 2nds,

Sydney Swans
Goal Kickers: T. Membrey 8, J. Hiscox 3, L. Perris 2, D. Robinson 2, H. Marsh 2, M. Dick 2, J. Lloyd 2, D. Preen , P. Mitchell , M. Vicic , S. Naismith , T. McCaffrey
Best Players: T. Membrey, C. Bird, J. Lloyd, H. Marsh, M. Dick, A. Aliir

With Membrey kicking 8 goals in the 2nd's & we are struggling to kick goals, does that mean that we finally give him a game?

As for Bird, we all know that he is one of our best wet weather players & played 2nds. However I suggest this is more related to an injury prone preseason rather than disciplinary.

As for the others who played best in the 2nd's, there is Lloyd, Marsh, Dick & Allir. There is no Biggs, Jack or Towers (who was missing as the Senior Team emergency).

I propose that Tippett will come in for Derickx or LRT & that Towers may finally get a game this week for O'Keefe. I also suspect that Towers may asked to play BP/HBF allowing Shaw to go forward. We need run out of the backline & Towers should be told, just run. With Shaw on a wing or as a defensive midfielder, this may get him back into his groove.

Not sure if they will make any further changes though I suspect that their is the chance that Longmire & the coaches are tiring of Grundy's backline mistakes & that LRT could be asked to play at FB & that Grundy might get a rest in the 2nd's as his season so far, has been poorer than usual. With no-one assisting Teddy, this just puts the rest of the backline under further pressure. Whilst Teddy has been average in his own form, he really does need assistance & at least LRT could provide that in the form of a mature body capable of playing on Pavlich.

As I said mate we don't have to go making 10 changes but I watched a lot of the 2s last year live in Sydney and Biggs is 22 and ready in my eyes , he is in the best week in week out and should replace 33 Shaw of the HB , Biggs would be one of the best kicks at the club. AS for ROK I think he should be replaced with BJ , not a like for like player I no and BJ doesn't have to come in and kick 10 but even if he doesn't hit the score board he will provide defensive presser which leads into turn overs and goals. ROK cant play forward as he lacks speed and cant get to the contest and we are desperate for a genuine fulltime small forward because Ben is having his best season to date and will stay in the mids and Mitchell is not a small forward ffs should be in the guts and jetta is a winger ala rohan not a small forward. Full time small forward in my eyes is a must,

Our next 6 games includes Fremantle, Geelong, Hawthorn, Essendon (and 2 easy wins in Melbourne and Brisbane).

Strong chance of being 3-7

Nothing I have seen from us this season to suggest that any win will be easy for us this year. We are lacking confidence and are in poor form and that goes for the players and the coaching group.

If we lose to Melbourne or Brisbane everyone should clear their desks and the last one out should turn off the lights. Not willing to even consider the possibility of losing to either team.

Are you quoting Mick Malthouse or the Carlton board there?

What are you saying Swansrule! :p

West coast didnt throw a bucketload of cash at someone whos output is no better than the man who would ofcost a third to re sign,

The club either

Overrated the list topped up for a tilt and felt buddy could deliver us a flag with tippett and was wort long term pain

Got the list right and has been unlucky with form and fitness especially up forward

Or knew it was rubbish and just went for a marketing commodity rather than fixing holes in ruck and defensive stocks

Geelong would of phased out at least one more of shaw okeefe goodes with bolton and mattner last year

As much as Buddy bashing is in vogue, 2 things that are hurting him -

1. all his spud games were played in shit conditions.
2. no Tippett (and Reid today) to take the pressure off him.

I'd reserve judgement until another month.

Not bashing buddy at all

Bashing the list management

Buddys efforts have been fine, today was his worst but as you say not much he can do

I get ya.

The way we have used him is criminal. It really is quite embarrassing.

Gonna go with the first option, i think we all thought we would get back our injured players from 2013 and with a forward line of Tippett, Goodes, Franklin was to good to pass up.
