What sort of effect will this have on patches for Ashes cricket 09?

Seems to be a lot of this happening on Aussie shores of recent. A shame really.

Awful news. Can't help but think that all of us thinking the release date for Ashes would turn it into a flop (Which looking at sales it probably is) has maybe contributed to this.

The strange thing is that there wasn't really any sign of this happening. Consistent feedback from Transmission about the patch for Ashes 09 as well as just releasing Heroes over Europe (Another that has sold awfully to though) you wouldn't think they'd suddenly be shutting down.

I'd still expect a patch to come out though. The patch has most likely been submitted to Microsoft and Sony already for PS3 and 360 release so I'm guessing once it's approved it will be released as the last thing they do probably.

Would be good to hear from FH about this situation.
