Just a random question.
Do you guys ever travel interstate to go watch the Pies play?
If so,which state and how often?

I went for the first time last year. Left Melbourne early Friday morning to go to Adelaide for the Port match on Saturday night. Not much too do there but it was good to get away. We had great seats 2nd row from the front on the wing and it was pouring down with rain. Im going to go to either GC match or Sydney this year.
I remember that. it was an appalling game - a huge blowout - and shocking weather. Did you think the trip was really worth it?
Never - Have not enough Money and no where to stay(Except Maybe WA)
Hey TD, not sure of what your budget would be, but in another thread I mapped out a $220 plan for sightseeing and watching the game in Sydney this weekend.
The Swans game is in August this year, and if you get in early and you do your homework then you could probably get it even cheaper. And maybe even get a flight up here for a reasonable price.
Went to the GC match last year and it was brilliant! A real carnival amosphere and the facilities and ground were fantastic. It's a shame we don't play GC at Metricon stadium again this season as I would've made the trip again.
I'm now planning a trip to the Gabba for the Brisbane match in May. My wife has friends about an hour out of Brisbane, so free accomodation and the kids can come up too. We're going to make a long weekend out of it.
I've never experienced the Gabba and I have a deep hatred for the Lions, so it will hopefully be a big win for the boys.
