Have some friends that work at the Women's and Children's hospital. They see a lot of Port and Crows players coming in to visit the kids, but apparently Boak comes in all the time, and stays for ages. He's not just doing it because it's expected, he's doing it because he is an absolutely class act.

Would love for him to add another All Australian guernsey this year. He'll never get the attention he deserves, playing outside of Victoria, but he's definitely of the calibre of a Jobe Watson, Trent Cotchin etc.

I feel so proud and lucky to have Boaky wearing our colours. A consummate professional and class act on and off the field for his entire career.

It's wonderful to have him back in his best position playing his best football. He'd be just about first selected in the AA team this year and 300 games looks like a formality.

Travis is an ambassador for the Childhood Cancer Association and gives a lot of his spare time to support the association and sick kids.

One of my favourite players - he’s gorgeous :) It’s been great seeing him hit top form this year.

He always does extra in the off season to continually improve and it’s a shame he spent the past few years with limited midfield time when he’s such a natural in there.

Friends’ son had leukaemia when he was 3-4 and they couldn’t speak more highly of Boaky’s couple of visits - gave them a lift at a very tough time. He does so much that we don’t see.

Hope we can jag a win against the odds for him this week.

Choosing to be a career player at Port through difficult circumstances, Boak has continued to be a class act on and off the field. Looks to be capping the latter end of his career the way we would all want for him. Has left no stone unturned to get the best out of himself and for the team. He is the genuine good bloke, with nary a drink driving charge and no snipey on-field acts to mar his career.

The Port Adelaide star who is in Brownlow contention, according to Champion Data
Former Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak has risen towards the top of Champion Data’s Brownlow leaderboard.
Boak, who will play his 250th game against Collingwood tomorrow night, sits 1.1 votes beind Geelong Patrick Dangerfield, who won the award in 2016.
If the 30-year-old is to win the Brownlow, he would become one of the oldest winners in history.
Champion Data’s formula awards votes down to decimal places.
It is based on a player’s percentage of receiving votes after every game.
Champion Data’s Brownlow leaderboard after Round 6:
Patrick Dangerfield (Geel) 9 votes
Lachie Neale (BL) 8.7
Travis Boak (Port) 7.9
Nat Fyfe (Frem) 7.7
Patrick Cripps (Carl) 7.5
Stephen Coniglio (GWS) 7.2
Marcus Bontempelli (WB) 6.5
Adam Treloar (Coll) 6
Tom Rockliff (Port) 5.7
Jack Macrae (WB) 5.7

Well-deserved milestone. Travis has so many qualities that make you wish him every success. A relentless warrior and leader on the field, loyalty to the club, great off-field ambassador.

Would love to see Trav get to 300.

If only Champion Data voted on the Brownlow and not the umpires.

You just know that when the votes are read out for round 6 it will be, Brent Harvey, 3 votes.

Trav was a very pleasant guy to deal with when I arranged for my then 5yo kid to meet him during a preseason training session a couple years ago. We organized it via Facebook messages and when he came off the track (last of course) he made a beeline to us for a chat, autograph and a selfie. He got a painted pine cone for his trouble and was very appreciative. :hearts::hearts::hearts:

Heard Boak say he thinks he has won all his milestone games inc 1st, 50th etc, unlike the Hoff. I hope the following isn't and omen given he has been mirror image of the Hoff's milestones.
