My mate has him on facebook and spoke to him on facebook chat with me being with him at the time so i can tell you its not bs. I would be really disapointed if Wood walked out on us. That would leave us with just Jolly and Fraiser and the two VFL ruckam which i think are way off AFL level atm

Pies will have plenty of our youngsters looking for improved contracts soon...
Guys like Wellers, Sidey, Beams, Dawes, Reid, N.Brown will all ask for much better contracts
not to mention blokes like Harry, Pendles, Swan, Heater who have elevated themselves into the A-grade category!
Be great to get more quality on the list...but the pies will be faced with plenty of cap issues if our young guns all keep developing!!

Oh yer or sure. We gave the Lions pick 14 for him and i think he is a better player since we got him so a top 10 pick for sure. I would really love to see him in the side soon becuase if he isnt you couldnt blame him for wanting to leave.
It'd be simply to hard to deal. To satisfy Port without affecting what we've only just managed to create too much, it'd be too hard.
That said, add Boak to the midfield without affecting the best 22 too greatly, wow, even I'd go down to the TAB and chuck some coin on us for the the flag.

You could only really trade for a very short-term player - coughPavcough - without affecting the team complexion. Like Doppleganger said, our kids will be demanding more money very soon, so need some money in the bank. Don't want to rob Peter to pay Paul.

Boak would be a great get but does anyone believe anyone at Collingwood told a reporter they were interested in trading for him? That has to be pure speculation. That said, we should be very interested but our interest would be tempered by the fact Port won't let him to get to us if they can prevent it or unless it for a massive trade price which we don't have the capacity to pay from high on the ladder adn with draft concessions for startups.

We better not part with Cam Wood. Firstly, he was too expensive to now trade after only playing a few games with us (unless of course the deal was dynamite). And apart from that, Fraser's body is so unreliable that we always need a solid backup ruckman.
Good, young Ruckman are like hen's teeth. If they want Wood for Boak than it's a big no for me

Port have been into Wood since the end of last year. He is highly valued at Alberton, as DTM can vouch, I was told we/reported here we were into Boak bigtime as a result. He grew up with Jaxson down at Lorne.

It might be easier to take your rumour mongering seriously if you could at least get your facts straight. Boak is from Torquay, his old man is a legend at the Tigers down there, he went to highschool in Geelong. Barham - and i'm not 100% on this - but i'm pretty sure is from Barwon Heads. These Wood rumours seem to have evolved from anonymous sources on internet forums. Until I see something more substantive to suggest otherwise I think they need to be treated as what they are - tenuous and unsubstatiated rumours.
How old is Brogan??
Wood will likely to struggle for opportunity in the next 3 yrs, where at best you would imagine he would be able to share ruck responsibilities with Jolly.
At Port he may have more opportunity, one of the reasons he came to the pies was for game time, but we didn't have Jolly when he arrived!
