Travis Cloke vs Bryce Gibbs

Well, at the start of the year when I decided to do this comparison, I was belted by pretty much everyone as to "what a ridiculous comparison this is!!"

Funny how quickly things change.

Ha ha, love your work Parrot :)

Seriously though, has Bryce lived up to your expectations this year? Would you still be sprouting off this crap if T. Cloke played for Carlton??

Bryce has the most amazing amount of talent ever in history though

Seriously though, ....

Yep, seriously, nothing has changed. Pie's supporters needy desperation to overhype their mediocre players ia still happening. Another success-less year gets tacked on the the Pies dismal one-successful-year-in-half-a-century-record. Eddie will come out with another end of season spin-scam monologue. And we'll do the same thing again in 2008. And it's still hilarious. Some things just don't change. :)

They were more successful than Carlton were they not?

I thought it was pretty straight forward Parrot, why am I not surprised you could not answer it without bringing out some anti-collingwood crap that has nothing to do with the question?

Whats hilarious is you getting all high and mighty about success. Do you even remember what that is? :o

At Carlton we view success as winning flags and EVERYTHING else as a complete failure - 2nd, 10th, 15th. Doesn't matter it is a failure and not acceptible. That's just part of our success culture and why Carlton are the most successful Club in the competition with 16 flags. We view winning flags as our right not a hope, and every year we don't win a flag as an aberration. By contrast the Pies have only had one successful year in the past half a century i.e. a deeply ingrained success-less culture. I suspect many Pie fans view a nice HUN-Collingwood-Overhype newsletter liftout as success. :)

At Carlton we view success as secondary to TANKING and EVERYTHING other than losing intentionally to secure draft picks as a complete failure. Wins don't matter, they are a failure and not acceptible. That's just part of our tanking culture and why Carlton are the tankingest Club in the competition with almost a decade of utter misery. We view winning #1 picks as our right not a hope, and every year we don't win a #1 pick as an aberration. By contrast the Pies continually outperform the Blues despite not having the plethora of #1 picks at their disposal. I suspect many Pie fans would still remember what it's like to play finals, something we at Carlton have long forgotten. :)

fixed your post :thumbsu:

Still waiting on your answer for these questions....
Yes im very happy for an 18 year old to be 1 of 7 Carlton players that played in all 22 games.
Travis cloke is 2 years older than gibbs and has 32 games of extra experience, id expect him to be better... except hes NOT. He's a forward that misses from 20 metres, out directly infront.

Very true. Travis has been a bit of a diappointment considering the early hope. Now he looks like turning into more of a Holland type. With Rocca's retirement well overdue, the Pies are badly lacking quality KP forward options. :)

Cloke claims Copeland

COLLINGWOOD forward Travis Cloke has capped off an impressive season by claiming his first EW Copeland Trophy at the Magpies' best and fairest evening at Crown Casino on Friday night.

Cloke, who showed immense improvement his year to post his best season in the black and white, polled 53 votes in the count to win the prize from Scott Pendlebury and Tarkyn Lockyer (both 52).

Cloke > any promising KPP under 21.
