I hear alot of Collingwood supporters saying he is the next superstar of the competition. I think they need to get a reality check and stop hoping one of thier duds will become a superstar. This is not a troll but from what ive seen hes is going to be a solid player at best

He held down center half forward as an 18 year old until he hit the wall and you think he's a dud? You're a troll and not a vey good one, try removing your head from your ass and getting some perspective.

I don't think you've heard that from just Collingwood supporters but if that's the only place your hearing it, read a newspaper or watch some TV, you might find that they are saying it too.

Note: Add Rusling to that next superstar list!

Constantly overrating your players. Next superstar Richie Cole, Davidson, Cameron Cloke 2 years ago and now this its time for a reality check. Rusling and Travis now  Wow Travis held down CHF maybe because you had an alternative of Jason Cloke, Cameron or Travis geez that's a no brainer if I ahve ever seen one due to the fact two will be delisted by next year.... Rusling only has a big leap and has not proven anything what a joke :p

Hilarious.

Perhaps you could tell us how your 'superstars' have led you to successive preliminary final failures.

It became a troll when you used the term "dud". Do it again at your peril.

Then you go on to say he might be a solid player. Go figure!

As for T-Clo, I don't think anyone said he'd be a superstar, but thus far, he has been very impressive, despite a decline towards the end of the year (VCE and general tiredness might be reasons which spring to mind).

Could have played TAC again this year and by the sound of this year's crop, he'd have gone pretty high up!

Most football supporters do over-rate there players in other people's views, because that other person has no clue in the language they speak unless they follow football from every angle.

T Cloke was a very handy player. Skills need some work, especially goalkicking (10.16 for the year), but considering Anthony Rocca and Josh Fraser were injured, and played a total 9 games between them, T Cloke sure did hold down CHF and was rewarded with a Rising Star Nomination. Mid to Late year his form certainly did slip, and school and slight injuries (hip) was the main problem(s) for that I am sure, aswell as the club's lack of form and skills. Cloke managed an amazing 71 Inside 50's, with 61 coming in his first 11 games (played 15 all up).

Yes it is a troll

If his first 5 to 7 weeks are anything to go by he will be a very good player.
Anzac Day, towelled up anyone that was on him.

Against Hawthorn He had Hay dragged off him and even gave Croad the run a round for a couple of quarters.

Against Geelong they had to drag Harley off him and move Mooney on he still kicked the sealer that night.
These are the examples that come to mind.

He has great skills below his knees as shown with the handball to Egan to seal the West Coast win. He ran out of steam this year due to the crash and bash style he plays and his hip kept getting whacked. Ted Richards gutless charge on him finished him off. I do think his kicking needs to improve and he needs to hang on to the big grabs he goes for.

I will say, that watching him Anzac day was sensational. He gave all of the Essendon players the run around and if he has a good pre season will be a very good player this year.

Well Said.

It is a trend that the Cloke's have taken time to develop also, and Travis was NEEDED at Collingwood, and was an essential part of the line up in his first couple matches. He didn't only play football, he played good football...If there is anyway of seeing signs of a great footballer, that is the sign, that he performed for a struggling side.

There not stats, when I get home, I'll pull out Travis Cloke's stats...plus anymore anyone else wants to see. ;)

Travis needs to play in a side where he is the fourth forward behind, Anthony, Tazza and Bucks.

He also needs to play on a half back flank or on a wing just to learn the game. He is a big kid who does look exciting but gee he got belted up physically latter in the year. Especially that pea heart from Essendon just jumped into him.

Another preseason plenty of gym work plenty of strength work and a lot of experience and yeah he might be a top 10 player.

No point saying he is going to be a star we have to wait until he has played 60 games plus. His first impressions were very very good I am happy to say especially his role in the last quarter against West Coast.

1st year players will always show inconsistency. Travis Cloke started the season off very well, and then slowly tired. But what I have seen of Travis is excellent for a first year player.. he has a thumping kick, great overhead mark, good footy brain. I am really looking forward to watching more of Travis over the next couple of years because he will develop into a superstar.
