Can't see Pies offloading Cloke - there are no power forwards left after pebbles retires (very soon).

That being said, I don't think i'd like him for our team.

This guy is better than Newton on anyday and as for Miller he still needs to do more for my liking, he may have leadership but as for playing he ain't doing enough with his big body. He is there to kick goals and he is not doing it, but I would like to see him go around one more year and then decide to shift him up North. Then you have the problem having Miller, Bate and Cloke in the same side as they all pretty much play same position.

I would take Travis and give pick 18 to Collingwood though.

Cloke has no trade value IMO. Pies would want a first round pick, and not even Fremantle would do that deal.

Not even the OP rates him highly enough to capitaize hime name...

I would trade our 4th round pick for Mikes Hard Lemonade T-shirt his old man wore to the AFL tribunal back in 2002.

Cloke couldnt kick over a hat. If his name wasnt Cloke he'd be just another there or there abouts player, he'll never be a superstar.

Doesn't lead to the right areas.

Doesn't have an accurate kick.

Doesn't get many touches around the ground.

Can't stand up in big games.

Shouldn't be traded to Melbourne.

I think a lot of people are too quick to bag blokes who are out of form. Cloke won a copeland at 21 (?) and has the potential to be a very solid, lead-up CHF (which we're hardly overflowing with). He's had a pretty ordinary year but he's still streets ahead of Miller and about 4 years younger.

I'd happily give up pick 18 for him. But it won't happen.

was listening to SEN yesterday, and heard Finey make a pretty good call about T. Cloke...

He likened his career a lot to Brad Miller... Showed a lot of promise early as a lead up CHF, but his career stagnated... Doesn't kick a lot of goals, gets his marks up the ground...

I thought it was a pretty good call from Finey... Obviously Cloke has shown a little more talent than Miller, however their careers could very well follow a similar path...

You're right in saying Cloke's career has stalled, but I think the difference is that Miller tries 100%, is a leader, trains as hard as anyone and still can't get a kick, plus he's never been as strong a contested mark as Cloke. Cloke has more talent but he always looks overweight to me, plus he seems like a real knob.

**** off pick 18, that would be a joke. The last thing we need now are players who are flaky in the head.

His Copeland Trophy win was the AFL equivalent of Dina Safina being #1 in the world. You know it has happened but you can't work out why.

Exactly right Merc... and as others have said, he's one of the most unreliable kicks in the league - I don't think Miller's as diabolical with set shots as Cloke can be.

If we started chasing after players like this, I reckon we may as well neck ourselves and be done with it...
