Per David Clokes comments on trade week radio, it seems as though there are issues with him staying at Collingwood.

Carlton are apparently keen.

Should Richmond make a big play for him (either with a big offer in the PSD or with with a trade pre 2pm?).

wouldnt mind him in pre season draft. play chf and can bomb it long to jack so he can shoot 4 goal. just dont let him kick for goal!! lol

GO GET HIM CAMERON!!!!!

Cloke and riewoldt on the forward line would be massive!!!!!

Don't know if I'd let pick 6 go though. Would take that and a player or two I reckon.

Only if he came via the PSD. It's not like we dont have the cap space. I cant see it happening personally, David Cloke is just using the last day of trade week to inflate his sons value.

no big play, psd will be fine. worth talking to him about a possible arrival to richmond.

No thanks
We gave David Cloke a dream start to his career, then he left us for Collingwood. Then we welcomed him back when Collingwood didn't want him. Then he tells his sons to go to Collingwood and not Richmond. Well David F U :D

Agree with all that ol' buddy ... but I'd still take Travis if we could.
Cloke and Riewoldt:thumbsu: The yips aside, he's a seriously good player!

Imagine if we could develop both Astbury and Post as KP backman? LOL

For that, we must owe him a favour then?

**** me we had a forward who couldnt kick for 17 years (albeit 800 goals)

Now we want to recruit a gutless squib who has a father who is a prick at best.

Tell me is his pic facing the right way at punt road yet?

It was turned to face the wall in 1983.

Spot on. T cloke is not much anyway. Best of a bad litter.

agree with the anti-cloke sentiments.

I reckon rule #1 in list management must be no shit blokes at the club. These types only de-stablise are a not worth the trouble, regardless of how they themselves perform on the field (usually its well, since its all abou t"me" with those blokes, but how do you measure how much they bring down the group -case in point, Fev).

Now, not trying to cast Trav as a shit bloke, but i have little hesitation in casting D Cloke as a shit bloke, and well, the apple usually doesnt fall far from the tree. Anyway regardless, we would have to deal with David as Trav's manager, and that is close enough in itself to rule it our for me.

For me it is a big NOOOOOOO to making a play at Trav, unless a lot of boxes were ticked first (such as, telling D Cloke to **** off etc).

Although Spud Frawley coped a lot of abuse for his list management, his best ever decision was to take Coughlan ahead of Jason Cloke. Both us and Collingwood had the father son option on Jason and we took Cogs instead as we did not rate Jason. Tigers did try to get Travis as he was the only one we wanted but did not happen as Collingwood had first dibs as both brothers were already there.

I think we stick with the sex monster at CHF, we just need to get him new shoulders. Far better kick and more explosive pace then Cloke, plus we need to be thinking in 4 years time and by then sex monster will easy be a better player (If his shoulders hold up).

Griff's shoulders really worry me. We should definately be looking to draft another big KPF in this draft as insurance for Griff. (but not Cloke, for reasons stated previously)

He kicked 38.40 this year. That's excluding OOTF.

22.26 the year before.
155.158 for his career.
He's had one year over 50%.

Not worth it.

MT, I agree with your sentiments on the Cloke tribe, but a proper decision on whether to sign a player like Travis Cloke would have any and all emotional content removed.

It was this kind of emotional bullshyte that brought the once mighty RFC to it's knees (where we have stayed) more than two decades ago.

It's now about the future, not the past.

Trav will end up at the Gold Coast I reckon. he wants close to 2 million dollars for 3 years. I Mean come on. The thing is he'll get it at the Gold Coast. Collingwood are only offering 300 000 roundabout.

Would you pay 650,000 a year for Cloke?

West Coast, Brisbane and Richmond are going to force him to go 1, 2 or 3 in the draft. Meaning Day drops to West Coast, Brisbane take Gorringe and we can decide from the rest:thumbsu:

The only thing l want Richmond to do is to have a go at him and then pull out at the last minute. Richmond and other clubs should be working together to destroy Collingwoods salary cap. We should at least put an offer on the table, if dont, the Pies get him on the cheap and keeps their list management in check.

I tell you, l love David Cloke at times like this. He's an absolute **** of a thing, but god its good to watch him destroy a club and his own reputation.

Agree. And in addition to this, what's he want as a salary - this appears to be the sticking point with the Pies.

Hypothetically, what would we be prepared to pay for him?

I reckon we stick to developing Griff, Post & the Hoff to assist JR8.
