He's better than anyone we currently have, that's the facts. He had good games at the start of the year and it all went down hill once his contract saga started. We have no one waiting at the club that can play chf, the sooner people realise that the better.

"people" think that this "contract saga" is the only thing holding Trav back from dominating the league. With supply from one of the best mid field combinations going around. I could think of ten KPFs I'd rather before him. Hansen would be better.

Again, I'll take him. At his market value, which is roughly half what Daddy is asking.

the real issue in our forward line IMO is we continue to have a number of players who are to easily outmarked and out muscled by their direct opponent, although we could do with another key forward I wouldn't be chasing another key forward at the expense of gaining more mids. Our mid depth is terrible.

Today being an exception, every other week this season we have ad more i50 than our opponent...that tells me our midfield is functioning well with no oNe downstream to get on the end of it....we should be lookng at improving our front half rather than go after chaplin

That what i have been saying all freaking year, like tonight we had no problem getting into our forward line, just nothing happened!

With that fantastic supply he still manages to lead the comp in contested marks and has kicked 40+ goals this year almost 50. I wrote this on another thread but market value for Key forwards is well above midfielders. 5 of the highest payed 10 players in the AFL the last few years have been key forwards, Riewoldt, Pavlich, Franklin, Brown and Tippet, plus you've got Goodes who can play as a key forward and Sandilands. The last 3 were mids, Judd, Ablett and Hodge. Goes to show the AFL still values key forwards and CHF as the most important players in the game. Travis is in the top handful of CHF and the best contested mark in the game, a very valued commodity in the congested type football currently played.

He is worth 700k - 800k easy, add the extra 100-200k you need to get a player to move club and 900k - 1 mill is what he is worth. Its pretty obvious going by the fact Carlton, Fremantle, GWS, Melbourne, Adelaide and Us all value him at that sort of level and Collingwood in there team they have value him at 800k.

Yep today has just shown we desperately need another big bodied tall target. Mcguane is a 3rd tall AT BEST he doesn't take enough pressure off jack we need to find someone if we are to take the next step.

i dissagree, seen more injuries than accidents

Bullshit, and I'll call you out on that.

He did his shoulder in 2010 in his first year after going for a mark and his opponent pulling his arm back in an awkward position, puts him out for the year.

Comes back the next year against Carlton and cops some heavy knocks backing back into packs, eventually goes down again and puts him on the sidelines for quite some time, accidental.

And then in the VFL he copped a few impact injuries that that had him sidelined a few weeks at a time, nothing to do with being injury prone.

And today he goes 3rd man up and knocks himself out.

So, please, do tell us more how he is 'injury' prone when it is quite clear he has been terribly unlucky with his injuries.

The issue is about what that last kick into 50 is doing. The most obvious issue we have right now. Look over the season and inside 50 entries is plenty enough, but marks inside 50 is shit, shots on goal are on acute angles (relative to comp) and score relative to entries is garbage. Does Cloke change all that? Probably does to a degree, straightens us up. But delivery inside 50 is garbage and if that can be improved we kick a lot more goals, Cloke or not. Crikey, maybe even JR might get a few cheapies.

OK get emotional then, i dissagree dude, his body is weak, your argument is chicken before the egg, is he accident prone? or injury prone? you need to be in accident to get injuries but he seems to get injured easier then others hence why i think papa smurf that he is injury prone.

edit, also take it easy mate i know its frustrating after a loss but still we all go for the same team.

I think to a degree we have certainly missed vickery this year, he is apart of the solution next year. It's really down to weather not the club sees another forward on the list who can step up and provide valuable support. Personally I think we need someone with a bigger body than jack. Is that person astbury, post, griff Elton or a cloke...

No emotion in my argument at all, how can you possibly blame him for accidental injuries? Your argument makes no sense at all.

maybe i wasn't clear, i'll give you an example of what i am saying, if steve morris bumped another player in the exact same fashion and griff morris will always come out on top cause he isn''t injury prone like griff, does that make sense for you? i love griff but i do feel he is injury prone, i think his body is a little soft.
