He was well held all night and had no support at all. Very similar to how jack has to play. Was at the coll v nth game. Cloke was totally useless in all areas of the game. Based on that performance no one would want him.

maybe i wasn't clear, i'll give you an example of what i am saying, if steve morris bumped another player in the exact same fashion and griff morris will always come out on top cause he isn''t injury prone like griff, does that make sense for you? i love griff but i do feel he is injury prone, i think his body is a little soft.
There is a dedicated v Freo autopsy thread for discussing things such as Griffths injury please use that and leave this thread to discuss Travis Cloke .Your argument is still flawed and silly, every situation is different and every injury is different, you're basically using a child's argument to make your point valid.
So I still don't agree with your flimsy argument.
Bo IIRC , and more than happy for those more stat oriented ones to correct me , it was recently mentioned we are one of the highest 3 sides for :Today being an exception, every other week this season we have ad more i50 than our opponent...that tells me our midfield is functioning well with no oNe downstream to get on the end of it....we should be lookng at improving our front half rather than go after chaplin

TBH he just isn't that good of a player , he is often in his sides worst 10 players or worst , and for the duration of seasons .
What if he sick of collingwood? i know i amIf his value drops to around 600K a year, go for him. However if it does drop to this level (which is his current market values given his poor form and the fact he has only had 1-2 good years), other clubs will line up and he will probably resign with Collingwood.

Bo IIRC , and more than happy for those more stat oriented ones to correct me , it was recently mentioned we are one of the highest 3 sides for :
- opposition scores from clearances
- opposition scores from centre clearances
- opposition scores from kick outs
- opposition scores from forward 50 turn overs
- opposition scores from turnovers
I may be wrong but I think that indicates our midfield needs some serious depth whilst our forward pressure and defence is also in need if assistance . Not sure Cloke brings any of that .
We are not talking about a bloke who has been in his clubs top echelon of players over a 5-10 year period . He has finished top 10 in the copeland just 3 times in his career and only twice being top 5 , this is his 8th season .
After this season he will have finished top 10 in the copeland on e in the past 4 seasons .
IIRC he will be the highest paid non on baller to ever move clubs , no player has ever moved clubs and been paid over $500k and played in a premiership with there new club .
For Cloke to move clubs and for us to win a premiership it is going to need to defy previous history and TBH he just isn't that good of a player , he is often in his sides worst 10 players or worst , and for the duration of seasons .
Still dont think hes worth 900k a season but we do need a strong CHF as shown yesterday.
Who said he is asking 900k?
Reports by who?Reports are the Pies offer is around the $700-750k mark. IMO you will need at least $800k to make a bid the Pies will definitely decline to match
See post above mine for 1 lol. Add many media speculating that amount on account of a cashed up expansion club driving up the price for a strong marking CHF.Who said he is asking 900k?

Anyway...I was using that figure as an example to show my dilemma of wanting a quality CHF but not willing to pay overs for someone like Travis Cloke and possibly upsetting the team balance/ethics.
Is that really what you took from my post?
The various media pundits. The idea we will get Cloke for anything less than $800k IMO is fantasy.
Pies get to match our offer, so anything we pay needs to be something hey cannot match. This isn't a thing Cloke gets to preference, all the Pies have to do is match our bid and his only way out is via the draft.
We really need to kill this fantasy we will get him for $600k.
All im saying is the money speculated on BF is BS.
How do we know in terms of dollars what the structure Cloke brings to the team is worth. We dont, but in the inner sanctum they do.
Thought you were a more clued in poster than this.
