Was at the coll v nth game. Cloke was totally useless in all areas of the game. Based on that performance no one would want him.

He was well held all night and had no support at all. Very similar to how jack has to play.

Today being an exception, every other week this season we have ad more i50 than our opponent...that tells me our midfield is functioning well with no oNe downstream to get on the end of it....we should be lookng at improving our front half rather than go after chaplin

Bo IIRC , and more than happy for those more stat oriented ones to correct me , it was recently mentioned we are one of the highest 3 sides for :
- opposition scores from clearances
- opposition scores from centre clearances
- opposition scores from kick outs
- opposition scores from forward 50 turn overs
- opposition scores from turnovers
I may be wrong but I think that indicates our midfield needs some serious depth whilst our forward pressure and defence is also in need if assistance . Not sure Cloke brings any of that .
We are not talking about a bloke who has been in his clubs top echelon of players over a 5-10 year period . He has finished top 10 in the copeland just 3 times in his career and only twice being top 5 , this is his 8th season .
After this season he will have finished top 10 in the copeland on e in the past 4 seasons .
IIRC he will be the highest paid non on baller to ever move clubs , no player has ever moved clubs and been paid over $500k and played in a premiership with there new club .
For Cloke to move clubs and for us to win a premiership it is going to need to defy previous history and TBH he just isn't that good of a player , he is often in his sides worst 10 players or worst , and for the duration of seasons .

Sure he plays a role & In the collingwood team that has midfielders like
swan,pendlebury,beams,thomas,sidebottom,ball all very good users of the ball and a winning team Tyrone Vickery could of kicked 50 goals easily.

Its Just 2 goals a game !!

he isnt worth a million dollars a year. if hawkins was a million dollar forward, then cloke by comparison would be worth no more than half that based on his history and in particular this seasons performance.

I'll say this one last time, Cloke is a RESTRICTED FREE AGENT. This means Collingwood can match ANY offer they wish or can afford too. The only way ANY club gets Cloke is by paying him 900k+ per year. Anyone suggesting I'll take him for 600k but no more are wasting ure time. Collingwood still want Cloke for sure. Big power forwards don't grow on trees.

I think hes worth 900k-1mil and happy if he comes here, hopefully with us not paying the full cap we could heavily frontload a contract for hom. But by being restricted we really need to price him out off Collingwoods reach

Anyway...I was using that figure as an example to show my dilemma of wanting a quality CHF but not willing to pay overs for someone like Travis Cloke and possibly upsetting the team balance/ethics.
