Yeah, and they are in the wrong business, they should head for Las Vega and beef it up with fireworks etc and knock David Copperfield off his pedestal. ;)

ummm...taking a wild guess...the following might be part of it too-----> $$$$$$$

Its a totally wild guess and really cant see how it would play any role in his decision.;)

If we get Cloke, finals next year is a must.

Dare I say Chaplin to add depth in defence, three midfielders from the best draft of the decade, if we nail this draft and all goes right, we can win the premiership next year.

We are not far off the rest of the teams in the competition, we really are not.
 
It to me has become glaringly obvious that we have to get Cloke!.We have a massive hole at CHF & Jack cannot be expected to carry the forward line on his own unless we want to burn him out.Which leads to the other main reason, we don't want to burn out the Mullet! Getting Cloke frees up Vickery to play more in the ruck.It is a win win allround.The club has started to advertise that it is about us being GREAT.We have stuck fat with over 52,000 members , we have rasied 5.5 mill for the FTF with a major reason being able to recruit a 'Big Fish'.Well Cloke is the biggest fish out there.The club has to & owes us i feel in doing everything possible to land Cloke..Cloke helps us become GREAT he is the perfect fit for our needs as a club right now..Yes it going to come at big $ price but that is a price we just have to be prepared to pay!.

Yeah, If we front load his contract, then that will free up a bit of room in the next few years as his output begins to wane. Having Cloke at CHF puts us into finals, and possibly into top 4 calculations. Yes, his asking price is expensive, but if he takes us to a premiership, surely the outlay would be worth it.

Yep agree.It alot of money but along with a CHF it buys us another ruckman...Vickery!
When we win finals then ultimately a flag in 2 or 3 years time.It will seem a bargain.

Was thinking about it today... Everyone is talking about how he would come here as a foil for Jack so Jack can improve and our forwardline is functional again. But by the same logic, wouldn't Cloke improve similarly with Jack by his side as a foil? Teams legit would have no idea who to send their best defender to. One or the other will cop a 2nd defender and if that's Cloke, look out, I think he'll improve heeeeaps. He's always copped 1st defender in his partnership with Dawes.
 
The 5 million dollar question is whether he will leave Maggotville?
If so, you've got to wonder what the big guy is thinking right now, short/mid term success VS the highest offer?
If he decides to walk, will he accept a higher offer from the Dees who are light years behind us in development?
