Melbourne's Travis Johnstone has agreed to a further two year contract that will see him with the Club until the end of 2006.

The Club's first round selection (number 1 overall) in the 1997 National Draft, Johnstone made his debut for Melbourne in 1998 and received an AFL Rising Star nomination later that year.

Melbourne General Manager - Recruiting and List Management Craig Cameron said; "We are delighted that Travis will continue to build on the 100 games he has played with Melbourne. He is an important player in our midfield mix, and we look forward to Travis playing a major role in the next few years."

it was never in doubt...

the reason it took him this long to siogn..was to torture the Bomber and Pies supporters...making them think he was leaving....then..BANG....out comes the pen and the 2yr contract is signed to stay with the MIGHTY DEES
