Travis may look like Jesus but i dont think he can even perform a miracle and survive being delisted by Brisbane. What are peoples thoughts on him and will he survive at Brisbane or would you have him at your club?

If his delisted GC will grab him for sure

They can't they already have Rischitelli. Although if Brisbane didn't want him they would probably trade him for pick 110 if the Suns did want Johnstone.

Anyway I think he'll stay unless he retires to become a full time homeless person.

Errr no. If he is delisted then there's nothing stopping him going to the GC or nominating for the draft.

LMAO, When was the last time Travis used Soap, Shampoo or Deodrant? Or maybe he is scared of them..

I can't see him staying. Hardly gets a decent run with the Lions. Seen him play reserves up here and he kills it every week. Why would you want to end your career in a sinking ship that doesn't want you? He's still got the ability to play for any club. Perhaps GC to fill out the roster?

Maybe he should turn his back on footy and hook up with Joaquim Phoenix's Rap thing, already has the look!!!!

Couple teams i think he could be good at and might even bring the best out of him

Collingwood
Geelong
StKilda

He wont be the number one bloke at these teams and will fly under the rader which is the only way he can play his footy

Given we have already lost 4 midfielders this post season (Riska, Brennan, Sherman, and Selwood) I think we may now be likely to keep him on a one year deal.

Except for the fact Voss never seems to play him in the midfield anymore. Correct me if I am wrong but I can't recall too many occasions he has been in the middle this season.

Good example of how good Melbourne have been at trading. Moved him on just as his value peaked.

If we were anywhere near a premiership I'd like him, but we're not. Might be a good fit for Collingwood, their disposal out of defence isn't great and they don't exactly have a shortage of quality youngsters to the point where they need a lot of kids.

It always baffled me why Voss kept putting him in and out of the side when IMO he's only behind Black and Power as far as their midfielders go.

He could be very handy for a side who thinks they are in the mix for a flag.

The big knock on TJ when he has played in the midfield is that he doesn't put on enough defensive pressure. He doesn't have a great engine and is almost a liability when the ball is going the other way. He doesn't cope well with tags either. :(

His skills are elite. His engine is amatuerish. His ability to cope with a tag is embarrassing.

However with the rotations, you can hide his poor engine. In a great team, his inability to cope with tags will be released or if the tag does come, someone like Dal Santo will be released.

IMO if you get him on a downsized contract, A St Kilda, Hawks or maybe a Western Bulldogs would be a great fit.

More an example of the shite trading that the Lions have done over the years. Blame for this one firmly with Lethal. His record in this area was poor at best. His most successful get was Pikey and Mal. After that ...

He will be a nomination for the PSD...so only if a club has no interests in young players who missed out in the national draft will he get selected...a top team may pick him up for free.

At least he won't demand much salary, and most of his income comes from his professional side job as a street beggar!

the Bin Man himself was in fine form last sunday watching Chelsea Heights playing in the SFL, then kicking onto fitzroy street and writing himself off!!!!!

In between giving him shit and calling him the binman, he said he is keen to stay at Brisbane, but wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at GC.

lol, wtf? Haven't noticed us having a particular problem with disposal out of defence on our way to the minor premiership and GF this year. Who are the Pie defenders you think have such bad disposal that trading in a washed-up never-was like Johnstone is the answer?

Absolutely nothing for Collingwood in getting Johnstone onto our list - he wouldn't play a game at all in 2011. Don't really see much value in him for any club - maybe GCFC might want him to get another older body onto the list while their kids mature, but honestly I don't think that would be a good idea for them either. Can see him going to GWS in the way Harris and Stanley have for GCFC this year - as someone who's been on the big stage to be around the kids while they play VFL or whatever GWS are, and train with them.

Nick Maxwell, Harry O'Brien and Heath Shaw all say "hi". Of the players you mentioned, on this year's form, only Goddard would get a go in the Collingwood back six.

Between 2000 and 2007 Matthews only brought 3 players into the club during Trade Week - Michael,Caracella and Johnstone - can't see why he is being harshly criticised for that.
