Loved the piece of play in the last quarter that lead to SJ's last goal.
Clean pick up off the ground at pace in the back line involved with a few handballs and some gut running to get the ball back on the forward flank for a clever kick to Johnno lace out on the chest.
Champaign football:thumbsu:

My fav TVism tonight was when he ran down Wood, slammed him to the ground, then let him know about it afterwards with a bit of argy bargy.

Starting to get a bit of agro about him.

This guy is seriously underrated, he is such a crucial player for us, with his pressure and speed, and ability to finish

I think we all knew Trav had the potential to be a good player. His game has improved alot since 08', particularly his decision making and ball use. Very valuable asset to have in the forward line.

Would love to see him get some more playing time in the midfield next season, especially if Gaz leaves.

Will be even better seeing Ablett and #5 BOTH wreaking havoc in our midfield over the next 5 years.

I doubt we will see that.

End of the first quarter, I think (or may have been early in 2nd), Varcoe pushed off a defender in our forward 50 with a don't argue - that's the main improvement with him this year - more strength/confidence in his body. Last year or '08 he would have been caught holding the ball trying that.

Great player to watch, he's really blown up this season. I'd find it daunting trying to cement myself into a team with such quality around me but he's really stepped up and could have quite possibly even over taken some of your best players on the list. Well done to him, gem! :thumbsu:

I've probably said this before, but if so, it's worth re-emphasising.

Kudos to the coaching staff who have been so patient & given Trav the continued game time when it was generally considered to be a significant error of judgement. Their vision & courage is now paying huge dividends.

I think we've got a live one!:thumbsu:

He appears to be following a very similar development trend to Garry. People said Cyril would be the next Gary but it looks like it could be Travis. He's so much stronger these days - both physically and mentally. The future is bright at Geelong.
