What do they have, pick 11 or 12 (not sure who finishes lower, Dogs or Tigers).

Not a huge difference.
Pick 12 and normally not a huge amount but at the top end it's pretty significant. In addition, Mills and Hopper with go go likely top 5. GWS get Hopper with our pick 7 with the 20% discount. Kennedy is tipped to go around 10. Keays tipped to go around 10-15 and Hipwood close to this also. That means Richmonds pick 12 is very likely to be at least 15, possibly 17 once academy bidding is done. That doesn't include the chance Josh Dunkley nominates as a father son, which pushes it back further. In this particular draft, with so many academy players rated in that 5 to 15 range, pick 7 is significantly better than what Richmonds pick will end up as.

The Giants poster above doesn't want the best deal, he wants to trade AT to his 2nd team, Richmond. It's ridiculous he wants a player to go to a club for a lessor deal. No doubt GWS are not that silly.

Hampton suddenly "requesting" a trade reeks of us asking for him, and GWS being very willing, but not making it look like yet another contracted GWS player is leaving. 3 in 2 years wouldn't look good.

But... that's just my guess.
He is leaving because he'd get delisted next year anyway.

He has been overtaken by the length of the Hume Hwy with Haynes' development.

He has little value and will be lucky to play another 20 games for the rest of his career.

He's not a #1 draft pick, monster KPF or a highly touted young forward chasing a salary about $500,000 a year more than he's currently on.

Well Treloar has Verbally Agreed to a Deal(SIgn it IF he as allowed to)
You still have ample time to find adequate replacements with the upcoming trade period.

You can trade for a similar player from another club (if one is out there)

You haven't let go a promising young player to get that signing across the line.

You could repair any damage.

Gold Coast couldn't.

Who cares anyway. Shit sport. Shit state.

Not entirely true.

I would like it he ends up at Richmond.

But I would prefer he goes to the club that gives us the best deal.

THE WITCH CARO STILL TRYING TO STIR UP TROUBLE:rolleyes:

The massive six-year offer put forward to Treloar has been placed at about $750,000 a season. Although both clubs refused to reveal the potential details of the agreement between Collingwood and GWS, the AFL has maintained a close watch on the forthcoming trade, which raised the ire of Richmond.

The AFL has denied its enhanced investigation capacities achieved in-house were put to clubs following reports of the Treloar deal with Collingwood.

"It's pretty simple," club president Eddie McGuire told Fairfax Media. "The kid wants to come to Collingwood."

McGuire scoffed at industry scuttlebutt, which reached the highest levels of AFL headquarters, that he had offered Treloar's partner, Kelsey, a position with McGuire Media.

"If that was what she wanted and we had arranged it, it would have gone to Ken Wood and been ticked off under the TPP," said McGuire. "But it's categorically wrong. It's not happening, never was. I can't even get Dane Swan to do a spot on my radio show for $150 without it being queried."

The Tigers offered the Giants two first-round draft picks for Treloar and believed that Richmond was his club of preference. List manager Blair Hartley has remained in contact with the talented young midfielder while the issue was taken to the chief executive level when Brendon Gale contacted Dave Matthews to query the GWS rebuff.
