According to Caro we have rejected Kruezer and are sticking with Witts, who wants to stay. I think this is great news as we have a talented group of young players who have formed a real bond. With Witts off the table it will be interesting to see what deal can now be done for Treloar. I am not keen on trading a future round 1 pick in addition to this year's pick.

Seems clear to me now that we secure Treloar with two first round draft picks (this year and next year). That's a high price to pay but it trumps Richmond's bid if media reports are true. So Witts stays at Collingwood and we keep developing Oxley and Seedsman. None of our players have expressed any interest in leaving so I don't think it's in the interest of the club to push any unpopular trades. Unfortunately this also means that we miss out on Aish who if the Brisbane board is correct, is close to signing a 3 year extension.

I hope we at least try pick 25 and Oxley for Aish. Maybe they'll be desperate.

treloar reminds me of wellingham/jamiroquai.. the ferrari version.. the 2 seem to teleport themselves from one position on the ground to the next.

i do recall a game agst north where a couple of our stars were out in 2011 and wellingham took over te reigns in the guts.. he add like 40 odd possessions.. i wonder had wellingham been given more resposibility who knows where that might have taken him.

I find it mind boggling that if Aish was not happy at Brisbane and with the recent exodus of other quality youngsters that he would sign a three year deal. I know it seems contracts are worth very little in football, but 3 years is a long time to be bound at a club with little on field success and enjoyment for the guy.

When you consider that their club is run by a bunch of 4 year old monkeys, they have to spend a certain level of the cap, and his manager is Pickering. It all makes sense

Do you know if we have any father/son prospects coming up in next year's draft?

To be fair, I'm fairly sure the game you're referring to was against Melbourne :p

Wait - is there news that he's resigned with the Lions for 3 years?

Josh Daicos and Callum Brown.
If a father-son is worth a first round pick in the bidding process, and the club has already traded out that pick the year before, what happens? I guess you must miss out on the player, otherwise we would just trade out all their picks and get a couple of Daicoses and a Brown for picks 78, 95 and 104 ;)
