I still have issues with two first rounders. I'd be very wary if it came to that. I'd love to get another one in this year if it comes to that. Or try and find a player that will make it one.

Depending on what we get for Seed, they may bite at 1st, 2nd and Seed pick if it nets them enough points to pay for their academy players whilst retaining a top 10 pick.

I would hope so. I don't think our list is ready for two first rounders. Two first rounders is great for teams needing a little extra class. We still need to find another key forward, giving away next year first rounder would already take us out of the draft and recruiting anyone good. I know lynch is out of contract next year, I'd have a big dig at him but we couldn't without a first rounder.

Granted I don't know the free agents. But if Broomy, kennedy, free, shaz don't come on. And we don't have access to top draft picks or quality for two years. It could spell trouble.

I would still give up this year's and next year's for treloar, but I would explore every other possible avenue before it came to that.

Giving away two first rounders really is quite a serious blow for the future of the team is 5-6 years... hopefully the club is doing everything possible to make it one 1st round pick + 2nd round player and/or player.

Yeah agreed. I'm still wondering if the rumour about Witts to the dogs has any truth behind it. You'd think that an offer from GWS as Mumfords successor would be attractive to him. Could it be that he's had another offer made to him behind the scenes as the Dogs primary ruck? And I wonder how highly they rate him if they have? It may be an opportunity for us to get back in to the first round and pick up a decent KPF prospect.

We had Mutiple 1st Rounders in the last 3 Drafts would help even that up

Holly crap this is doing my head in. WE ARE NOT GIVING AWAY TWO FIRST ROUNDERS.

If Treloar was in the draft and was our first pick we would need to use one of those picks on him (or another kid).

We are giving away ONE first round pick, 2016. We actually get Treloar for the one in 2015. If one first round pick was the difference in sending us down the ladder or affecting our future then I would suggest the club is doing a lot of other things wrong.

We are sacrificing one pick to get a young, ready made gun.

Treloar is be in our top 4 Players in the Team and I think that be worth 2 1st Rounders.

Plus we have had Mutiple 1st Rounders in last 3 Drafts

Im not sure what you're concerned about.

It is a TRADE.
We ARE giving up 2 picks (or a pick and a player, or whatever) for him... That is how it works.

No one says we got Greenwood for free - we got him for pick 26. Brisbane gave up Pick 6, 26 and Crisp for Beams (&40-something). A trade works because the total value of those pieces equals the total value of what you get in return.

Treloar does not equal our 1st rd pick this year - because we would not be able to get him in the draft for that pick. He equals whatever we end up paying for him.

You can't just take out one piece of the equation and say that equals the player, therefore everything is what you are "giving up". Thats like us saying we gave up Beams for De Goey and got Crisp and Greenwood for free - we didn't we needed all of those pieces for a trade to work

What?? I'm not concerned about anything. That was my point. Maybe read my post again.

Understand what you are saying but it has nothing to do with my post.

It seems blatantly obvious Gale is really trying to deflect Richmond's failures.

Richmond - worst performing club over the past 30 years.
Richmond - a list that is not good enough to win finals football.
Richmond - a club that is so far off the competition in terms of footy smarts.
Richmond - can only recruit offcuts.
Richmond - don't get how to draft talent.
Richmond - completely dillusional and a joke among other clubs.
Richmond - with a coach who has coached most games in the AFL without a finals win.

Gale and his team are covering up their own failures. Rather than cry over Treloar, show some professionalism and maturity and move on to another target. gale knows the supporters are going to be miffed. So what does he do, convinces his supporters that the Pies didn't play by the rules. Come on Gale, you have let yourself down and really embarrassed your club
