Its an interesting way to look at it but ultimately a flawed concept.
In the end, you trade based on a players value.
2 first round picks sounds excessive.
Based on the beams deal which was pick 5, 25 and fringe player, then i would say treloar is worth about the same.
That sais, Im not against trading next years first rounder, i just dont think you can do it based on your logic.
We need to do the best deal possible. Obviously, if we can manage to keep next years first rounder then it gives us other options to recruit a big name player or get another great kid next year.
I would expect the club is going to do all it can to try and hold onto that pick. But in the end, we are throwing the kitchen sink at treloar so i cant see the club letting the deal slip if thats what it takes to get it across the line.
If we are going to tradr next years pick, then i think it is essential we keep scharenberg and freeman. We cant just bleed first round picks
