The AFLPA said the investigation had discovered conflicting views on whether the Giants had received the notification.

"Blucher said that he notified the club prior to Adam's surgery. The Giants maintain that at no time were they notified of Adam's surgery until after it occurred," acting head of player relations Brett Murphy said

No Surprise Really;)

So he told the Giants but they did not Listen:rolleyes:

This quote is interesting.

"The AFLPA's investigation clearly exposed an important issue with regard to the integrity of player contracts in relation to a number of factors with player health and welfare, risk management and liability being chief among them," Matthews said.

Especially in light of this article about the Bombers being told to stay quiet about their supplements program.

I would imagine that any contracted player heading for surgery would need to submit paperwork to their current club for possible insurance related matters. Can't recall Treloars Contract status with GWS at the time though. I don't think there's anything in it, just not very professional.

Are we going to complain about every Tradedraft thread:rolleyes:

He was still under contract. Not sure when it ended though

I see no problem with opening new threads. I daresay a lot of posters log in, look at the threads on the Collingwood board, see that no new ones have been opened and leave. I do it from time to time, as for me, it's easier coming here for news.

If this thread goes cold and ends up on the second page, sure, merge it. All it would take is for a mod to occasionally check the second or third pages of the Collingwood board and just merge the ones that need to be merged.

But in the mean time, it caught my eye, I read the news and was pleased.

Having said that, I wasn't really sweating on this news - the 'investigation' was a load of nonsense.

No just the unnecessary ones. There is already a welcome thread, a generic 'Treloar' thread. Now we have another thread for Treloar.

Some constraint at times would be appreciated.
Don't read.
Or better yet, block any poster you don't want to see.
Wouldn't that rid you of all this wasted time that you spend reading, then complaining about, these threads?
Me? I love that there are different threads on the same subject. Simply because they are easy to access and normally are talking about a different issue than the original thread(s).
Viva la threads!

Hmmm ...

A footy player who lives in NSW and is about to move to Victoria goes to Tasmania to get surgery done.

NSW club say they knew nothing about it. Player's manager claims to have told them.

Sounds dodgy to me, but I ain't complaining ;)

You just open them for the fun of it. ;0

No - But I felt it was worth it's own Thread and Discussion. I barley made any new threads Lately:rolleyes:
