While everyone takes their time to politely troll losing teams, or laud players who have good games in a winning side...time to respect a new member of the elite midfielders club - Trent Cotchin.

Plays his heart out usually while being tagged within an inch of his life - averages 25+ touches a game and kicks goals.

Welcome Trent - hope you win a Brownlow, but better yet a Premiership medallion.

Yep I reckon he's up there the way he's playing at the moment. Going to keep a closer eye on him throughout the season.

How did he go last season? I know he's been quality ever since he's been at the Tigers but has he had a real breakout year like Murphy did last year?

No. Next you'll sake Jake King is the best. Or some crap like that.

Plays his heart out usually while being tagged within an inch of his life - averages 25+ touches a game and kicks goals.
Sure he's effective, but he isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. Saying he's elite is reaching for it, lowering the bar for what elite really is. Will be good no doubt, but you may as well wait until he finishes this season and he's backed up last season with another outstanding one.

Will never happen at Richmond.

Not yet.

I think he's playing at an elite level, but to be in that category there's only the consistency factor remaining. If he continues like that for the rest of the year and next year he's easily elite.

Deledio as well, he and cotchin would have played some of the better line breaking football this year from anyone, even against the eagles good defence they forced their way through.

Elite? Yeah right. How many AA's has he been selected for? Exactly.

Case rests. Not 'elite class' until he puts a few strong seasons together.
Potential is a dirty word. Hope he can top his career best 2011 season at least before rating him a 'champion'...

Don't care what label people give him. Gun, elite, role player, list clogger... whatever.

As long as he continues to wear the yellow and black and stays healthy is all that matters

Absolute machine of a player, that gives Richmond some real heap from the future.

Having said that, leave it to others to make toast threads about players from your team on the main board. Gives it far more credibility if it comes from outside the club's supporter group.

With out a doubt, he would walk into any midfield and be top 2 or 3 in all.

That morris kid is an animal at the ball also.

Things are going the right way at tiger land.

Cotchin has premiership player written all over him.

In fact this trio does.

J Riewoldt, Cotchin, Martin.

Etch it in stone, Richmond will win a grand final within the next 4 years.

Coming from a StK supporter... talking premierships ??
Credibility shot right there.

Extraordinary. :D. Trolling ??

Jack is a good player but he wants it all for him self, he needs to be a god not a team player imo.

Every game he takes it up another level. The guy is a ball magnet and he thrives in a contest and has the innate ability to find space where there is none. If he is not elite now then he is not far from it.
