Trent Croad

If you read on the Carlton website, Shane O'Sullivan has denied rumours of Croad, Mcfee and pick 5 coming to Carlton for pick 2. Surely this would be a win/win for both clubs. Freo has maintained it would love to get Daniel Wells, (likely to be no. 2 behind Goddard) and now that they've stiched up both Pavlich and Longmuir, they could afford to trade Croad.

Any opinions??

I'd do it for #5, Croad and McPhee. Was a little dubious about Croad and McPhee only. I think we win big time with the first scenario as we would still be able to get a Gilham or Johnson with #5. A defender or a ruckman. Would make a difference whether we took French for #18 too.

Fremantle won't trade Croad. Croad won't sign a trade deal. Apparently the kids loving it over there and the club has a lot of good prospects for the future.

Yeah but everyone denies everything this time of year although it was written by Michelangelo Rucci so the credibility factor is very low.

It just seems that Carlton are trying to get an established young player in return for the #2 pick, Yze, Croad, etc despite saying that they wouldn't trade their #1 or #2 picks before the trading period.
