Everything indicates to him being an RFA unless there's a clause (can that even exist in a contract?) that says otherwise. Same years service as Josh Kelly, same years on the senior list etc.Unrestricted FA according to the AFL;
2021 restricted and unrestricted free agent list released
The AFL has released the updated free agents list for 2021www.afl.com.au
Restricted vs unrestricted is dependent on whether he is being paid in the top X number at the club.Everything indicates to him being an RFA unless there's a clause (can that even exist in a contract?) that says otherwise. Same years service as Josh Kelly, same years on the senior list etc.
Thanks for the info, now I understandRestricted vs unrestricted is dependent on whether he is being paid in the top X number at the club.
The AFL releases a list every year because it’s only based on the last year of the contract and obviously we’re not privy to it.
More details here:
We probably get overs for him based on our ladder position with Band 2 and 3 nearly being the sameHas played all year like he’s gone, just seems a bit disinterested to me. Good honest two-way runner, but I’m not expecting great compo.
He’s pretty handy for a wing player. I’d pass but a team like Melbourne could use him.
Huh?Port have come in hard since the Rockliff retirement, and Hartlett will be finishing up too apparently, so he has both options on the table.
He's a good player. Would obviously walk into Adelaide's team and Port are in the window so adds good depth there.
If it’s 400-450k it would have to be a long term contract like 4-5 years just to sneak into band 3.Will go to Adelaide on $400-$450k which will be enough for Band 3 given his age.
Rawlings will want to leverage the spoon in other ways and this is one of them. Would be a compo pick in the 30's if we finished mid table, likely to be pick 21 with the spoon though.
Will give us #1,#20,#21.

Of course years has something to do with it.Years has nothing to do with it.
Band 3 is the top 400 players in the league after age weighting.

A 3 year 500k contract (1.5m) and a 4 year 500k contract (2m) are different and get judged differently.
That salary will get band 4 not 3 i reckon.
