Rumour Trent McKenzie

8th in the competiton for rebound 50's.

11th in the competition for disposal efficiency.

Do you think we have Byron Pickett and David King wasting away in the seconds?

He takes our kick-ins and has no problem finding the ball.

He can't defend an aerial ball and his errors usually lead to opposition goals. See Richmond game.

And it's not like I'm claiming that Trent McKenzie is anything special either. He is a slight upgrade if that.

Disposal efficiency is the biggest load of wank.

Ahern had other clubs chasing him and we gave up bugger all for him.

Any club willing to pay more than a 4th rounder would be crazy.

Agree, he won't be expensive pick/trade wise.

Looking at it closer, if Spitta does want to join his brother and GC are open to that then this should seal the trade.

It will come down to $$$$$$$$$ then.

Yeah, it would be not so much circling, as sniffing for a bargain. If there isn't one to be had then you'd expect most of those clubs' interest would melt, like butter on Toast.

Well, considering the club are fast approaching the point where Spitta is not a priority for senior selection, and that the Swallow brothers have always been public in maintaining their wishes to play together, then that is feasible.

How valuable is McKenzie to us? He's a slowish 190cm flanker type, with his single point of difference being an elite skill.

Has Brad Scott ever exhibited the tactical flair to utilise a player like McKenzie? Nope.

Swallow is a rising 30 year old with a sound body and a fairly consistent level of output. The Suns have shown they are not presently completely averse to his type of player considering they placed Barlow on their books (30 in December) and he has now gone down with a busted leg.

If a cherry were required, then it wouldn't be much. Our 3rd round pick (~45) at best, and would this have any great value for the GC? Not really when you consider they already currently have 6 picks ahead of 45 (5,20,22,24,30,40).
Slowish? Looks a little quicker than "slowish" in those youporn clips you posted. :stern look

Showed a lot of promise earlier in his career, has gone quite cold. Either way I feel like he'll end up at Hawthorn, Geelong or Essendon seems to be the norm these days.

I'm surprised so many on here are against it. He needs a 2nd go at it and has had his injury worries. I'd do a straight swap with swallow in a heart beat (if they take swallows full wage).

Still only 25 and has a canon for a leg. His stats are quite low because he was asked to play KP or on the third tall due to injuries (thompson, may - both have never been able to put a full season together).

Back out fitness staff in. We struck gold with marley and hrovat has done well.

I would not like to see us get caught up in a bidding war for him with other clubs.

Comparing Byron Pickett and David King to Aaron Mullet, that's a pisser.

If anything he will be a trade for a 4th rounder and up. Trading him for Mullet or Swallow would have a deal done in record time.

Landed three fringe players in trades last year. I don't think those clubs have a monopoly on players that aren't sought after.
