How could this dud actually get an international game? If you're memory is short, he's the flop Peter Taylor signed for a cool 5 million while at Leciester City. Leciester went down, and the number of goals he scored could be counted on one hand. A complete dud.

Surely Jamaica has better options than that, Deon Burton anyone?? :D

You are thinking of Ade Aknenbyi, widely known as Ade Panic-bye. The guy who is now at his 9th club. Akinbiyi actually did OK, scored 11 goals or so but was always going to be measured against the outrageous transfer fee.

Trevor Benjamin is worse but only cost 1.5 million.

Well they were bringing on players from Rushden & Diamonds - squad looked awfully weak to me.

I can only wish we play against a CONCACAF team in a play-off for the World Cup.

Absolutely. As far as number of quality teams relative to World Cup spots go, CONCACAF gets a fair ride.

Correct, my bad.

But both of them were pretty sh1t. Akinbiyi had a horror run in front of goal for some time if memory serves.

Where are both of these guns playing now? Last I recall Akinbiyi had moved on to Palace.

an benjamin now plays in the premiership and was one of the most solid contributers that led to leciesters promotion.

Lower division players plucked out by Peter Taylor who deserved to stay there.
darren eadie was well performing until he did his knee a couple of times and hasnt played in 2 1/2 years. eadie and benjamin are both decent players, better than some of the blokes running round for the socceroos

Benjamin is about as good as Graham Arnold ever was.
