Just want to know what your thoughts are on this topic.

Trial by videos. Do they work? Are they fair? Does punishment by the AFL fit the crime by the player?

I think in some instances there is fine line. Even borderline. Should fines be given with suspension or one without the other.

I'm interested to know what all your thoughts are!

Agree with the jubster. It has to be kept, the precendent has now been set for all time. They cannot now go without trial by video in the event that something is missed on the field.

However there are still to many inconsistent rulings and poor judgements being made. They (AFL tribuanl)only create the problems they do by being seen to stuff it up so much.

Get a set rule book for bookable offences and stick to it.

Tiger Fury,

I spoke to Collo on radio over this very topic.

Get it right!

"It is not 'trial by video', but video reporting" - so says Collo.

I will not say anything of Archer's attempting to strike a teammate report!!!!and subsequently guilty finding. Grrrrrrr

Agree with Grendel. Its in place now so we have to keep it. Most reports would be laid via video these days, umpires seem to want to make sure before booking anyone. But still lots of things are missed or not sufficiently investigated so all systems are flawed for that reason (although its fixable if the AFL hires someone with brains to do it properly).
