I saw the incident and I thought he was unlucky. He did put his leg out though. He is only missing the Ansett Cup though. If he got 2 weeks during the regular season, well that's just silly. But I think the tribunal is coming down hard on triping.

I agree 100% with Dees, the AFL is getting tough and is going for a Zero Tolerance policy this year it seems. The trip was there - so the report was valid, but the Melbourne player made it worse than it really was, which cost Brown the extra week IMO.

If a Melbourne player is unlucky enough to be charged and found guilty of the same offence and intent in the H&A, would you still feel that way?

I would like to see some consistency from the tribunal. If they are handing out 2 week suspensions in the Ansett Cup, will they go harder or easier in the H&A? In other words has the bench-mark been set for the season?
