little David's Port won't kick up a fuss in fact we'd argue being suspended in a match simulation is "pretty tough".

Same could be said for the Adelaide Crows Customers & Media!

This time last year SPP was flagged as a Dog & a Piece of Shit for his bump on Keene.

Hypocrites….
Yep, & Keane had possession of the ball, so did Rankine. And neither were first gamers. Funny, where are those AFL tribunal sleaze buckets & their zeal for protecting players heads now?

I think they wanted a penalty for ginby but had no rule to do it under.
The AFL's rough conduct ruling is vague enough to fit it in.

There's even an example in the tribunal guidelines for rough conduct that talks about pushing an opponent in to a fast moving player. And that impact can be judged based on that collision, instead of the impact of the push itself.

Its just like the Maynard one, where the AFL simply doesn't want to apply its own rules.

How about the big tunnel on jones by thilthorpe that sent him off for an extended rest & HIA in last year’s showdown. No free, umpires thought it fine apparently & so did the match review panel. Oh it’s ok to almost break a blokes neck & KO him.
They wonder why no kids play or follow the game

These pushes resulting in concussions are reportable now as “Rough Conduct”. It’s defined very broadly as conduct “unreasonable in the circumstances’.

I’m not sure why Ginbey wasn’t reported. The two more recent are also reportable but the MRO has tied himself in knots. There will likely be a rule clarification when, in reality, the clarification should be that:

1. The MRO is incompetent
2. He is inconsistent when it comes to clubs he had an association with, when it comes to big clubs (Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond, West Coast) and when it comes to small clubs (which includes Port)

He ought to be removed and replaced.

Waiting for a Ports player to be the sacrificial exemplar...

Edmund doesn't bring it up, but on All Access Matthew Lloyd actually brought up Jordon Sweet on Michito Owens.

Where he actually said he'd give Sweet 2-3 games. Ginbey even more games and Curtin a fine.

I mean the first two events sure, but Owens tried to lay a cheap shot on Bergman and hurt himself in the process.

Mind you Ray Chamberlain on AFL360 thought Ginbey's was terrible, Curtin not even a free kick against. Sicily questionable.

And he didn't like Jordon Sweet's either because Sweet wasn't competing for the ball at all. But I'd still question whether Sweet even pushed Owens. Sweet looks like more a slight arm across to lay a small block on Owens.

I expected to open this and see the AFL had suspended Sweet.

Sweet pushed Owens because Owens blocked his run at the ball.

Port Adelaide defender Xavier Walsh has accepted a one-match ban imposed by the SANFL Match Review Panel.

During Sunday’s SANFL pre-season game at Alberton, Walsh was cited for careless conduct on Norwood's Tristan Binder. The second-quarter incident was graded high contact with medium impact.

Walsh will be unavailable for Port Adelaide's Round 1 clash on Friday, 28 March.

Hit on Ridley hovers on a 'King Hit'.
Lynch bit late but harmless.
Archer straight out careless, needs to be pulled into line but, 3 weeks is excessive.
Swans one didn't seem to be much in it but they've accepted 3. [maybe it was Coll.]

Must admit after he broke Harry Grant’s jaw (and somehow avoided a ban) in the last game of the ‘24 season, thought there was some justice.
