Craig you champion! Thank you for your loyal and successful years with the Carlton Footy Club. Thanks for the memories, one of mine is that goal from on the boundary about 30m out at the SCG last year, just incredible accuracy. You lifted your team and showed great leadership.

Post your favourite Braddles moments here guys! :)

There are so many Bradley memories, but the one that always sticks in my mind is actually off the field.
In the packed Carlton rooms just after the 1987 grand final when Braddles walked across to his best mate and placed the premiership cup into his hands.

His best mate? Peter Motley!

Fantastic memories from a fantastic player. So many memories to choose from, but the time he darted around the outer wing at Optus against WCE in the mid nineties, had about 5 bounces, and kicked it from 50, would be a standout.

Congratulations on a magnificent career. Would love to see him stay on at the club, possibly as a skills coach!!

Again, thanks for the memories..

Maybe because it was recent...but I loved his 350th game against the Dons last year. We won for him and to see him get chaired off the game after one of my favourite wins ever...words cant describe it

Braddles you legend.

There will be nothing I remember better than being there for Bradley's last few milestone games, the 350th, The Club record, etc. Craig is a true legend who, no matter what people think if he played on too long, who will be sorely missed. Hopefully Craig will stay envolved at the club so his knowledge and experience can be passed on to all the yound players we have.

Craig Bradley you are a TRUE CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!

I too remember that goal against the Eagles, such a crowd pleaser. I remember his flowing blonde locks streaming down the ground in 1986 when he burst onto the scene in a big way. The cheeky marking attempt in 2001 where he juggled it for 15 metres in an attempt to get closer to goal. His whole career was a highlight. It is with a sense of loss that I say .... Craig, thanks for the wonderful memories and I am sorry you had to go out in a losing side albeit in vintage form yourself. You will go down in Carlton history as one of our greatest champions.

My favourite all time player, so many memories and great games it's too hard to pick one out.

My favourtie clip I had on my PC was when playing against the Lions, Braddles recieved a mark from Ratts originally intended for Hamill inside the 50, Braddles played on faked out a Lions defender and strolled into an open goal. The commentary for the clip was superb, a real standout for me :D

Great career Braddles, thanks for all the great memories!

I loved his retirement message... but I hate the way he left, I hate the fact that he hasn't been given a huge send off, which he deserves and I hate the fact that if he wanted ot continue playing next season, he would have been under paid and he would have to be re-drafted, because he had been de-listed! Its bullcrap and its not a way to treat a legend like Braddles, he was still in fantastic form too.
I don't have a fav memory, because he was always awesome!

I also would like to pay tribute to Craig Bradley and his magnificent career and have to say that I am disappointed that he is not going to go around again next year.

I have no doubt he was good enough and given the horrible year that the Blues have had, in my opiunion it would have been better to have had one more year to hopefully go out on a better note. There is no doubt he is good enough to do it and would be far better value than players ranked at say 35 to 38 on the 2003 list.

Not his greatest moment of skill but one thing I'll always remember from this year is Braddles trotting around the outside of the centre square before the bounce, making his North Melbourne opponent keep up and providing a bit of a giggle for the crowd. He eventually got a free after he was tripped ;) but it got reversed for something that happened down field.

That was fantastic stuff! Didn't Bradley give Mots his medal as well?

my favorite is the one where I came onto the Carlton board and fired a shot about an issue that I have no specific knowledge about and displayed a complete lack of respect and sensitivity for Carlton supporters on their own turf ... etc etc

<thanks for that Mighty Mick - ODN>

blah blah, anti Carlton sentiment, blah blah should stick to my own turf if I can't be respectful etc etc

Yeah, funny aren't you. I've been staying away from the AFL board in BF because of all the anti-Carlton sentiment that is currently on it. I would expect to be able to come into our own Carlton board and not have to put up with crap like that. So in other words fu(k off!!

<sorry to cut into your post Bee, post in peace :) - ODN>

If I was you, boyo, I'd read the rules of entering other clubs boards on Big Footy! And I think ODN's thread about opposition supporters, is also aimed at the likes of you. Get the hint?

so its ok for drifters to come onto the roos board:D

It's perfectly okay for drifters to go on to any of the boards as long as they play by the rules. If you ask Shinners, he will tell you that he would be tougher than I am on the Roos board.
