To be number 1 these days, a song usually has to be reasonably popular on mainstream commercial radio as well as on Triple J. The popular alternative Triple J only type songs usually make the top 10 or even the top 5 but not number 1.

I'm surprised noone has mentioned Running by Evermore then.

Interesting that TV on the Radios Wolf Like Me has come in at #63. Thats thrown a few top 10s out....

Wolf Like Me is my second favourite track of the year, but I wouldn't have expected a top 40 finish.

It's kinda like a reverse draft: "I can't believe this was still available at Pick 63!".

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better year for music than last year. There's some good quality songs in the first 50.

Does anyone else agree that this is the worst count we have heard so far - I am hoping we will see a change for the top 50 but so far not looking good.

Normally the majority of my 10 picks sit in the 70-100 range, so far not one has polled - hoping that that means the majority are sitting in the lofty heights but unfortunately I feel they may miss altogether, honestly how many of the following can you see polling from here on in:
