I haven't seen much of this guy what does every1 think about him?? Is he a good player??? what are his best attributes?? Does anyone think he will be a future key position player for us?

Future CHB. He looks like a player who could also go forward. Spent 5 minutes in the ruck though - he makes Steve McKee look like Simon Madden by comparison.

Could be a 150 game player.

Obviously, I'm a bit of a fan.:D

Could be something, could drop off the face of the planet. Pick 72 or thereabouts, so every game is probably a bonus.

Actually got 14 hitouts, which surpirised me, to Fraser's 19 and Goodes' 20. Team hitouts were 46 each. Hitouts don't tell the whole story, tho.

Walker is a gun. He's huge for an 18 year old.
Hes gonna be a very good player.

I reckon he's the best tap ruckman we've got, personally.

Not a knock on Fraser, his work around the ground last night was absolutely phenomenal.. but his tap work still ain't great.

A lot of them I'm sure were boundary throwins where Tex is second man in. A lot different to centre bounces.

And remember The Swans ruck division (apart from Goodes) was next to useless last night.......

Turn it up, I think that you are using the word gun a bit lightly!!!
They guy has played one good game......
Players that are gins are, Scoty Burns, tarrant, Buckley!!!!

Walker has a lot of potential. He's only 18 and is showing a lot of talent.

I think he could play as a ruck or a key position player in the future. But right know he is still developing. But he could be a star of the future.

ive always been the first to bag walker, i thought he was just too slow and had no idea what was going on. but tex was fantastic on saturday night and id rather have him in the side than mckee.

Walker has actually played most of his career as a ruckman and is just learning how to be a key defender. He is slow yet athletic (by that I mean he could run all night around the ground), he actually played a bit in the midfield last night. He needs to wake up and realise he has a huge body and can use it to knock people around.

He looked OK against the Swans.
I doubt he is a "gun" tho.
I think he is coming on nicely MM is just teaching him the game.
Should be up for 5 to 10 games next year.

Its beautiful to watch Tex and Richie Cole get better by the week slowly but surely.

Im not a big fan of Tex at full back, anywhere else though really love his efforts and hes much more skillful than I thought.

I know, it's surprising to see those good skills on such a big, young boy who was a fifth-round draft pick.

Walker is a good prospect, another Judkins special. Massive build, he is already pretty strong and looks like getting a lot stronger. His coordination ain't crash hot, he still has to grow into his frame.

His ruckwork was not good, just bashes really: nowhere near as effective as Fraser's intelligent and silky taps. His marking is alright, his kicking is acceptable and his hands seem pretty sure for a young fella.

The best thing is that he is visibly improving with each game. His first run against Richo was what you would expect-he galloped around like a young giraffe, got a bity lost, showed some ticker and (luckily) Richo had a down night so he wasn't completely embarassed. Since then he has used his body more effectively, taken some contested grabs, and melded into the team without any strain at all. He is being blooded, and it couldn't have been better managed.

He is still a liability if faced with a decent senior opponent, but every game he gets is priming him for 2005 when I'd say he'd start earning his spot as a big tough high marking defender.

Walker's coming along good, played well in the ruck, and was okay in the forward line. Will be a even better player once he gets some more games under his belt.
