Have been watching some of the cricket on TV. Has anyone noticed in the crowd two young guys in Hawks' guernsies - very animated when something happens for Ozz?

Just thought I would do some padding-up (excuse the pun) on this very quiet chatboard.

Yes. I noticed them, near the sightboard at the end Symonds was bowling. I have always joked to a mate that no matter where the crowd, you always see a Hawks jumper. I've seen them in the crowd at Lords and even spotted one in the crowd at the Superbowl. Those two lads at the cricket were certainly finding plenty to cheer about yesterday, let's hope they find just as much to enthuse over in the footy season.

Yeah, Ive noticed em 2. Thought they were NFL Flag men, oops sorry :)

Just your typical, mad Hawthorn supporter who cant wait for 2006. I mean what else would you wear to the cricket on 35c day, a nice winter football jumper of course.

Cheers Gary

Thanks guys and gals for your response to this thread. Some interesting little stories.

What I like about them is that it's great to see such passion for our club in the soaring heat of the mid-off-season wearing the most honourable strip in the AFL.

Whilst there is limited viewing on TV in looking for any other AFL guernsies, I have failed to pick-up on any. Has any other poster seen any (of the other clubs that is)? I know you will think to yourself who cares about other clubs.

Trivia I know but a nice bit of trivia. Maybe the XXXX is getting to me up here in the sub-tropics.

Hey HH, maybe like mad dogs and Englishmen your lady friend fell asleep in the mid-day-sun. If you have heard of ye olde cricket fable.

Good luck, mate, hope you have good one tonight and for the rest of 2006 and beyond ... GO HAWKERS '06!!!

Noticed one lone sucker in what looked like a Bulldogs jumper (but it COULD have been our 2005 Heritage Guernsey!)

Yes Hodgie15, so did I. And let's realise this was in Sydney. The Ch9 camera caught him in a Hawks' guernsey waving an Oz Flag right after Guillie caught Jacques Rudolph off Macca.

Hawks everywhere!!!
I was sitting in the Churchill stand today and I also noticed him.
