How about "Yeah, Hughes was the Banana I was kicking in. You've all pretty much nailed them all ;)"

This is a cricket site after all. While I'm on the subject, is anyone else annoyed when they hear commentators saying " --- needs to step up to the plate ..."?

And why is everybody a 'batter' now? Is 'batsman' now un-PC? If ever a lady plays for the Australian senior cricket team, I will use that new terminolgy!
This is a football site after all.

Indeed it does. One of my happiest baseball memories is seeing Randy J come in to close out Game 7 of the 2001 WS. Always good to see the Yanks lose the big one!

Doubly so when it's the D'Backs ;)

Why does Mudassar Nazar hold a unique place in Test cricket history? This is not related to having the slowest Test century of all time.

It happened in the second Test on Pakistan's short tour of Australia. This was the final Test of the 1978-79 season.

You're in the right area, but look at the second innimgs, and why it's significant it was the final Test anywhere for 1978-79.

He was the last man to bowl a ball in a test match played with 8 ball overs.

Ie he bowled the last ball of that test match, and that test match was the last one to be played with 8 ball overs.

In other words, I know what I am trying to say but just can't express it properly. :)

What quirky occurrence did Guy Whittall experience in the three day game against Canterbury on Zimbabwe's tour of New Zealand in 2000-01?

all i can find on that is whittall stood in as captain after heath streak was a late withdrawal ??

I've always felt Whittall should have scored three more runs before being dismissed, thus making his score (double 0) 7.

What is the lowest test score a batsmen has not been dismissed on?

hint also the same as a record score held by an Australian cricketer

had this in a trivia comp a few years back and it was 139, still not sure if that is the case though (have a nasty habit of remembering useless stats, but keep forgetting birthdays)

Nope keep guessing.

I heard this trivia stat on the ABC over the summer so i am guessing whoever wrote the quiz you attended was wrong to begin with.

Hint ...... the batting record was set in different form of the game

Going on that then I'll go with 219 (Sehwag's ODI record)

Close, you are right about the 200 scored in a one dayer, but it is an Australian that holds the record........
think which AUSTRALIAN holds ODI records
