The perils of playing for an out of the spotlight side I suppose.

not that he’s on the same scale as sangakkara but a guy like kemar Roach is a huge forgotten figure of current bowlers because he’s out of sight out of mind
The issue there is that of the ones that are always talked as the best of the best (Boult, Anderson, Rabada, Cummins, Bumrah) only the first two have similar averages to Roach, whereas KG, Cummins and Bumrah all average low 20's.

absolutely no denying That. But in a side that generally has had very few runs to defend, and up until the last 2 years no support cast to speak of, his efforts get very easily overlooked

He killed a seagull midflight while bowling?

Close. They both killed a swallow while bowling. Chappell's swallow which was killed in 1969, was stuffed and put on display in the Committee Room at Adelaide Oval.
Faulkner's swallow, killed on the opening day of the 1987-88 season, was preserved for display at the WACA museum.

Karshan Ghavri dismissed skipper Greg Chappell both times in the 3rd test at the MCG during the 1980/81 season, including getting him for a golden duck in the second innings in India's victory.

What was unusual about the way he got these wickets?

Is it that he dismissed Chappell once bowling spin and the other time bowling pace?
