absolutely no denying That. But in a side that generally has had very few runs to defend, and up until the last 2 years no support cast to speak of, his efforts get very easily overlooked

Close. They both killed a swallow while bowling. Chappell's swallow which was killed in 1969, was stuffed and put on display in the Committee Room at Adelaide Oval.
Faulkner's swallow, killed on the opening day of the 1987-88 season, was preserved for display at the WACA museum.
