I have had some Gumtree scammer going on the last 3 weeks or so. They keep on telling me that their delivery company is legit but doesnt have a website or anything at all, so why not annoy the shit out of them.

I had the exact same thing with someone trying to sell Soundwave tickets wanting me to direct debit the cash and then they'd post it from Headland. Worked out it was a scam and used a fake email address to engage them again and make them think I had transferred the $700 by creating a fake bank transfer receipt. I then had a laugh the next day when I kept getting emails telling me the funds had not gone through before I took all my evidence down the Police station and created an advert on gumtree warning others of the scam.

He was in Darwin and wanted a pick up only. Absolute joke.

I have done two recently, both of them in America because Muricans be dumb and all that.

1) In Chicago with a mate and he dared me to go up to some one and say "Excuse me, can you tell me how to get...how to get to Sesame Street?" So I did. (I would have done it in New York but I never got there.) Guy shook his head and walked away.

2) Again on a dare, walked into a deli/milkbar (or whatever they call them there) in Los Angeles and asked them what the date was. They said November 28th. I said "No, what year?" They said "2012". I run out of the place screaming "It worked! It worked!" and then we took off.

Pretty childish stuff for a man of my age, but still funny.
