Take it to the BaeHas the ban for trolling gone too far? Have we limited freedom of speech to suit narrow views? As Australians should we embrace open comment even if we don't agree with it?

This thread is a perfect example of persons trying to shut people who have different views to them, in this case they used TROLLING against religion, they come out of the fog to
silence those they hate.
Leeda ain't no trollLeeda - what are your thoughts on this thread?
Always I’d sayIs it abundantly clear though when someone trolls?

And what is your religious upbringing?
That you can't handle the truth isn't me trolling. It's you having a tantrum like a spoilt child.Bit rich from a poster that deliberately wandered into the Eagles board to whine about why we aren't respecting Richmond's flag this season.
What about when you pop in and out of threads to offer a pithy aside- is that trolling?Always I’d say![]()

Hmmm good point, as when considering this topic I pondered ...What about when you pop in and out of threads to offer a pithy aside- is that trolling?
Lance’s threepeat thread was genius. There are obvious trolls such as “Essendon are cheats” but then there more subtlety nuanced troll posts and even threads parading as balanced and well researched pieces.
For example Lance’s “Hawthorn 3 peat - an accident of history” and Dan26s “Ranking of Premiers”. These deserve acknowledgement as master trolling work.
Trolls say things they don’t believe in order to get a response and wreck things.
They also amp up the worst parts of things they might actually believe in order to wreck things.
They are insincere, and not looking for a discussion or to take part in a conversation. They are there to ruin the conversation.
So TBH I say fu** them.
Spot on, and it didn't last long either, as the Nobles weren't happy and so started a war to regain their "lost" rights.I just love it when people spout off about things they have nfi about.
The magna carta was written for nobles who felt oppressed by taxes and the useless king they had.
It had sfa to do with anything bar the king ceding some of his power to them
It had NOTHING whatsoever to do with the common man who at that time was basically a chattel - the free speech you refer to is that of parliamentary privilege not the free speech which you espouse yet still clearly dont understand.
LOL, Macbeth trolling himself!Hmmm good point, as when considering this topic I pondered ...
Time thou anticipat’st my dread exploits.
The flighty purpose never is o’ertook
Unless the deed go with it. From this moment
The very firstlings of my heart shall be
The firstlings of my hand.
Hmmm
Gil has held a review of the moderation and found that it was all correct. You have allowed shamelessly biased and anonymous mods to shut down valid discussion with no accountability.
Just because one doesn't have the mental capacity to mount an argument, doesn't mean one has been trolled. Even if he/she is a moderator.
