Surely he's gotta be the most unlucky player on our list. When Connolly came to the club didnt he rate him in his 'future 7'? I seem to remember he did but could be wrong.

Anyway, that aside, this guy has done nothing wrong and is continually snubbed for higher profile yet underperforming players. RE Trent Croad last year, J.Lo, Waterhouse to an extent (but who wants to see him miss out? :P)

Last year he had to string together about 5 near best on ground performances for west perth before he even got a look in. He had a solid preseason in my opinion and deserves his place in the side.

Its all good an well giving youth a look in, for example gilmore who is probably filling the 21st/22nd place that longmuir could step into. But Longmuir is young. And surely he's earnt a game, through form both in the preseason, wafl, and last years regular season games.

I wouldn't be surprised if he started looking elsewhere for a game, He'd probably step into half the sides in the league without trying, I think he's being taken for granted a bit for his desire of playing with Justin and his apparent reluctance to move.

It'd be a shame to lose him. I rate him highly. This post obviously contains bias, I am a fan, interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

Ps. If cooky doesnt get a game next week get ready for another like minded post haha, 22 possessions, 28 possessions, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that he might need 1 more game to be fully fit, lets hope this is the case.

Usually there is method to Connolly's madness.

Can't see much method in not playing TLo over Clive "i once kicked 7 in a western derby" Waterhouse.

Troy Longmuir is a quality player, and it astounds me that he is not a regular fixture in the Freo team.

Apparently he was considering leaving the Dockers last year, because all they would offer him is one year. He is definitely taken for granted, and should have left last year for another club that would give him 22 games.

I'd love to see him in an Eagles jumper.

Agree with ozzys comments! Deserves more of a chance at AFL level - he doesn't really disappoint when hes given the opportunity.

Anyone know if he played for the mighty falcons today?

5 goals. He will be playing sooner than later if we can find a spot for him I dare say.

On second thoughts, keep him playing for West Perth if he's in such red hot form!

Alot of you guys are making a mountain out of a mole hill. We have depth now & you's aswell as TLo have to except he is a fringe player. He was given a chance to perform during the preseason & correct me if I am wrong but he did not set the world on fire. There are about 8 plaers everyweek fighting out for the last 2 spots & when Webster comes back that squeeze will be felt even more.

Regardless of those 2 goals, there were plenty of players in the team today that I would have had Longmuir ahead of before (and definately after) that performance.

Waterhouse is one, Justin is another (although he showed some signs today). Cunningham is a hack, he was hopeless again. I'm all for rewarding wafl form but he just cant take the step up. It's Fewster all over again. Browne played quite well today but It'd still take t.lo. Dunn hasnt earnt his stripes yet. Gilmore showed some dash but his finishing wasnt up to scratch.

Hopefully ANOTHER good wafl performance will finally get him a game. I spose theres a good to every bad. He's helping the mighty falcons push for back to back :)

Another strong showing from Cooky again should see him in the team next week aswell. I agree youth needs to get a run but after making the finals last year I'd think a strong push this year should see us playing our best possible lineup regardless of age.

Oh well.

I'd put Cooky & Polak & Grover & Webster & the like before T Lo. There is something about TLo's attitude I just dont like.

Players who should be considered for inclusion this week :-

Polak, Cook, TLo, Grover.

On shakey ground :-

JLo, Dunn (old saying last in first out, but going to be a good player), Cunningham, Clive (seemed to have a go), Farmer (ok they won't drop him).

Still reckon TLo, Cookie and Grover have been up to "no good" with the coaching staffs other halves. Well that's my conspiracy theory for the season.

Well let us in on what that something is!

the eagles were very interested at the end of last year. i heard that the dockers wanted kasey green (i have no idea why, considering the dockers have a full defence anyway). but the eagles told the dockers to go jump.

if what u said is true about kasey green and T.Lo, then maybe thats why green hasnt been dropped yet, worsfold wants to prove it wasnt a mistake? its my only understanding of why his in the 22.
