Get well Makey, prayers are with you.

Loved watching you play. From early 'who is this jockey bloke taking our kick-ins???' in the year 2000, to being our sure-footed, sure-booted, cool-head in defence thereafter.

As said before, you really made the 35 your own.

Bumped into Troy today in Traralgon, he is mobile, walking around but still very ginger (his elbow has a fitting on it that looks like a cyborg implant!) I told him the BF folk had wished him well, he wasn't aware of it but was very appreciative of our support :thumbsu:
Hasn't the poor bugger had enough Dan? :D

Great news to hear he is on the road to recovery.

We've seen him back into packs often enough but backing your bike into a moving car is over the top.
Glad to hear you're healing up mate - we all owe you some great memories.

"In my exit interview when I was told I’d be getting delisted, I was told in the 2005 Elimination Final when we got absolutely pumped, basically I didn’t try, looked like I didn’t want to be there and was one of the reasons we had the game we did."

Gutsy, hard working player. I hope his boys make it to the club.

Wasn't he delisted in 2006?

Wasn't he delisted in 2006?
The article says so - 2006 was the last year of his contract and when he wasn’t recontracted he was told that 2005 final had basically seen his papers stamped. That’s pretty rough - 2005 he also played international rules so his season overall had been very good - and he’s right that it wasn’t great he came out of his exit interview thinking he needed to work hard to keep his spot in 2007 and then found out very late he would be either traded or delisted.

The bit about his early time at North is nice. He says all players were part of the group, and if guys like him who were on the supplementary list couldn’t afford to join in trips or anything the whole group would chip in. Also good things to say about Pagan.

He seems to follow the club with interest when I see him on social media, so I don’t think his exit affects the chance of his boys wanting to play for us if it became an option.

Nice interview.
