Exactly like what happened in the 2017 Grand final - free kick richmond as the narrative had already been set for a Richmond fairytale in the vic media - forget we lost Walsh the year before and it should have been the narrative. Remember also Cotchin getting off at the tribunal for his snipe of Shiel in the prelim, Edwards got off his too. Pretty sure they appointed 3 Victorian umpires on the day as well. Leigh Matthews said you can't beat city hall and he is right
Yep the umpiring was deplorable, Stevic and CO got Richmond going after our good start, paying them free kick after free kick and just yelling play on when we were getting infringed.

I remember the blatant hold on Betts in the goal square just before half time and umpire Stevic choosing to ignore it from 15 metres away. I knew then we were ****ed.

There was a film clip of every free paid getting around a few days later, it was shocking.

All the Victorians talked about for years was the pre season camp, nothing said about their corrupted umpiring group who went on to do the next 5 Grand Finals. Cheating dog campaigners

I think the afl know this type of crap is going on and dont want to acknowledge it as they know it will open pandoras box .It just so obvious with the amount of games being affected by dodgy umpiring this year
The AFL are behind it, hahaha

Sooner this bloke is out of the club the better, his reign has been an unmitigated disaster.

He could've just kept to the facts instead of bringing up the GF and looking like a buffoon - which is now the headline instead of umpiring corruption.
If you listen to his on air comments there is no controversial claim, and the radio crew themselves commented subsequently about the inflated reporting of what was actually said.
I’m no Roo The Administrator fanboy but I agreed with his original comments.
I was at that game and watched it unfold firsthand. I’ve seethed about it to anyone who’d listen ever since. It was a disgrace.

The latest article is entertaining but highly speculative and potentially defamatory but I imagine they must be pretty sure he is guilty of what he is accused of to write it.

I feel a mini-series coming on. Perhaps we could all be hired to reenact the Bulldogs game as furious Crows fans reacting to his umpiring in real time. ;)

Series will need two props - a broom and a carpet.

Hard to sue someone for defamation while in hiding

So Parnell bought a house 60 days after screwing us, yeah not sus
Got no doubt he was being paid to umpire that game favourably for the Dogs... but he was also screwing his employer for 100K per month!

How good would it be if his plea deal stipulated he had to provide the details on the corruption within the AFL umpiring ranks.
Would need to go into witness protection...

Roo showed how dumb he is in this whole thing. If he stopped at saying we were dudded in that particular game then everyone would have listened, but he had to say it cost us a premiership! Seriously, how stupid can you get? Yet another example that our director of football is not at all clever

Listen to Triple M most mornings and there are multiple examples.

Sounds like he has deliberately run himself into a tree.

Which rules out the low spending fraudster hoarding their ill gotten gains planning to live it up in Skase’s old place in Majorca theory that was posed the other day.

Thanks for link, though the one you have placed (while providing interesting material) doesn't mention anything about the Alfred or a car crash (just in case there was a different one you intended to link)

Except in true media fashion it's not what he said at all. The actual quote was:

"Adelaide ended up losing the game by 15 points, if you can believe it,"

"The Bulldogs won the flag that year. If the Bulldogs had not have won that game, they probably would have finished eighth, probably wouldn't have even advanced."

"Adelaide would have finished third on the ladder instead of fifth. We would have a double chance."

"It might have cost us a flag."

Which, given we always complain that our club doesn't whinge enough like Collingwood would, doesn't seem all that bad to me.
