Roast Troy Pannell

Since round 14 (4 umpires/game), he has umpired only once - in Round 17.

15 = NOPE (4 umpires)
16 = NOPE
17 = Brisbane vs GWS
18 = NOPE
19 = NOPE
20 = NOPE
21 = NOPE

Brisbane vs GWS was a strange game, too. Disposals were 455 to 329 in GWS favour. Contested possessions were 200 to 148. GWS beat Brisbane 146 to 67, and yet the free kick count was 25 to 14 in Brisbane's favour.

I wonder if Pannell has finally been put out to pasture.

He was injured during the Brisbane game.

Pannell is out of action at the moment, after he broke his wrist in the opening moments of the round 17 clash between the Brisbane Lions and Greater Western Sydney.

Very interesting. In an interview on 5AA with the umpires boss not long after the dogs game, the umpires boss said we allow our umpires to regroup and learn from their mistakes and we give them another go. It certainly looks like he has been told to move on. I hate this though. Teams who he was poor against like us and we lost and its found out he is a dogs supporter are told 'oops sorry, oh and umpires don't support any teams, nothing to see here'. The AFL need to cut the spin s**t out. They are a very ordinary organisation at present.
The umpires boss and the AFL are well aware of where umpires loyalty lies.

In the case of Pannell, well he was making it a little too obvious and the public were beginning to riot.

I think you'll find certain umpires aren't so lenient towards Hawthorn from herein either.

The free kick for v against differential is the key.

Last stats I saw the bullies had a massive lead on the other teams.

For those disenheartened and those who want to remain positive and those others, it could be worse, we could/should be playing geelong and then west coast the week after....

Has this bloke umpired at all this year? Seems like his cards have been stamped, he's an absolute dog s**t umpire along with Nicholls.

How there wasn't a major enquiry into that game against the dogs is beyond me...
17-1

According to the AFL all was fair and square, no bias, nothing to see, move on.
Absolute joke.
