A girl with a tattoo is advertising that she is a masochist. How many she has determines the level she is at. Heaps of tattoos - lots of daddy issues and/or abuse (mental/physical/sexual) at a young age. Only one - rebellious streak against her parents.
What's your take on the psychology of men's tattoos

Speaking of issues...

Again, a form of machismo. The difference is that pain is considered a badge of honour to the male psyche, so it makes more sense. Warriors of tribes would get tattoos to show to others how tough they were. It’s why yakuza in Japan are synonymous with tattoos.

When a girl gets a tattoo, they are transmuting their emotional pain into that same badge of honour, to also show how tough they are. That they can’t be broken.

Of course there are always exceptions, but 90% of people with tattoos will have suffered some form of trauma that they subconsciously want to memorialise through pain. It’s why I don’t have a problem with anyone who has them, as long as they have personal significance to you.

In my experience talking about tattoos with my friends both male and female who have them (I don't) it's usually a lot shallower than this. I've seen so many dumb joke tattoos that the Yakuza/warrior/pain connection really doesn't resonate for me.

I know a bloke that has a McDonalds name badge tattooed on his chest with his name on it.

He’s never worked at McDonalds.

Macho man.

This is what happens when real world experience is replaced with reading s**t on the internet.

Is that how you get in at right wing events as part of your research?

As a veteran, I get plenty of IRL right wing views when attending events :). They don't stand up to scrutiny in any sphere.

Especially banal are the trojan horse identity politics dropped in by the hyper capitalists to make people who would otherwise be socialist think that leftism is about identity politics and not sharing resources effectively.
