Yeah. You hear the most outrageous things that close to the fence, but this was a extremely loud expletive ridden personal attack on the field umpire that went beyond the 'well the crowd pays their money' and unfortunately I got sucked in to turning around and giving it back with a few remarks. The field umpire did too but kept it above board. I didn't swear or anything but still need to be better than that and usually am.

I mean I usually give a bit back to the crowd if I overheard stupid shit and did in this game but on one occasion I didn’t dispute their views of the decision, I went below the the line straight away and feel remorseful. No one needs to be abused, that includes spectators.

Probably we're still all a bit pissed that the tribunal completely ignored the evidence of three umpires and let a club dictate a suspension to them to a player that did very little wrong. No excuse but.

I guess this is a good lesson for me about how acting in the moment can make you feel worse in the long run. Something I'll remember.

Because even county yokels don't need some skinny prick with bad hair calling them names over an umpiring decision. You don't know how it makes them feel. Maybe they themselves feel a bit ashamed of their behaviour and I piled it on.
