Bit of an exaggeration.

I started the drinks round 11, by 3 that Arvo it was in full effect after a few hours of coming and going, and it didn't back down to about 9 the next morning and I had to be at hospital by then for surgery at 10.

Sent from my Nokia 7.2 using Tapatalk
So took a while to start and didnt stop. Kicked in after about 30 minutes for me. But then was like 2-5 minute intervals. Will be doing it all again shortly.

Do it!

And for those hesitant about a colonoscopy, I most certainly was, others may say different but the worst part of the whole thing was the prep. The stuff that you have to drink is pretty ordinary. And you get a good 3 hour stint of hanging about the potty. The actual procedure itself I knew nothing about.
:D Thanks for that I'm having a colonoscopy and endoscopy tomorrow and currently drinking this orange flavoured salty tasting Moviprep.

Low serum iron was the trigger for the Doc to tell me let's get pro-active on this. Am I nervous?

You bet I am.

I was literally and figuratively shitting myself, no doubt. Different brand to what I had. Mine was Pluvac or something. But the actual procedure was okay, just waking up to the news was not ideal. But fingers crossed for you results are good and maybe a few polyps that they get rid of.

Mine tasted like salt water with an after taste of lemon. First couple of mouthfuls were fine. By the end of the second liter though. Dunno how I managed. Started 7:15 finished at 12:15 i had to go up till the procedure at 2:30 but was fine after that.

It did just feel like I was peeing from my butt. Totally bizarre feeling.

Which does just remind me of this Billy Connelly bit

Pleeease no replies of best wishes I'll take that as a given and would only be embarrassed, besides I don't want to choke this thread with a topic that's

already been covered, suffice to say if the news is bad I need to be philosophical about my choices in life. As Eric Burden once sang

"when I think of all the good times that I've wasted... having good times". Being in an altered state of consciousness has not been foreign to me.

Naturally like most on planet earth I want more but if it's the beginning of the end I won't be reaching out to a mythical creation who pedals eternal life.

With a history of bowel cancer in the family I'm sure I'm in the gun though under 40 I'd like to think I've got a few years before it hits.

All the best manureid, surgery is a drastic option but a good chance of living a long life. My mum had it about 10 years ago and has been cancer free since.
Zero history in my family (until now), so in the Drs words, I am a mutant. Just not like an X Men guy disappointingly. However, now my kids will have to get checked in 40s as we now have history.

Mrs and I were lucky enough to see Midnight Oil live in the Eastern Parklands Monday night. Back up band was the Teskey Brothers.
What stole my heart was a First Nation Elder speech, ( his beautiful name escapes me ) to kick everything off. It was very powerful, and i shook like a leaf.

He said he had a time line to follow for tonight. But our people dont see time in a line, its a circle.
He said he has too say goodbye. First Nation People dont understand this. To them its rude. They use in their language " Until I See You Again "

He set the precedence for the night. The Teskey Brothers need to bee seen live. Cracking band.

Then Midnight Oil with their Premiere Makarrata Album...........oh my goodness. Peter Garret can still smash out tunes, and so passionate live on stage. I will go as far as saying one of the most heartfealt, loud, amazing, beautiful concerts ive ever seen.

Whos going to start the conversation?

Travelled to Darwin with my wife in January just because i love Tropical weather and see more of my country. There is massive issues with our indigenous souls there.
I felt a bit sick having a nice meal on Mitchell Street, and our First Nation people are just wandering around lost, asking for cigarettes. Just lost.

Its their land, white man has invaded their way of life. I'm glad i did. Its opened to my eyes to a massive issue this so called lucky country has. Its not lucky at the moment for the custodians, the owners of this country. Its not a lucky land for them. They've had the bush and a way of life for thousands and thousands of years taken from them in a blink of an eye.

Coming back from Darwin. I'm embarrassed to be a white immigrant male.
