He spent $20 in both examples. He means at $1 per litre he gets 20L and at $2 per litre he gets 10L.

He's question is, at what amounts to halfway between $1 and $2, why does he get less than halfway between 10L and 20L.
This was my line of thinking, obviously it doesn't work that way.

So a sport that has literally had international players throw games for money, that has played games in apartheid South Africa and has been involved in terrorist attacks is going nuts over some tape being rubbed on the ball?

******* cricket.

Yep. The Aussies are cheats

But the outrage is disproportionately high

The punishment for ball tampering is 1 match suspension, which in footy terms is equivalent to an errant hip 'n shoulder.

Remember when the GOAT bowler and the Skipper's twin brother were paid by a bookie for info?

Or when GOAT again took a banned substance?

Far worse

Smith et al has joined the likes of Tendulkar, Atherton, Afridi

But he's no Hanse
Agree. People just continually talk about cricket being a gentleman’s game and ignore the copious amount of underhand stuff that goes on. Don’t get me wrong, I think this was a stupid and inexcusable error, and expect there to be multiple changes to the team, but reverse swing occurring before overs 40-50 basically relies on a degree of ball tampering that happens as a matter of routine. We were just terrible in our attempt to cheat.

People seem quick to write off other ball tampering incidents as spur of the moment, despite them being nearly all premeditated to some degree.

The current South African team has had 3 recent charges against them (2 from their current captain, one involving using his zipper. I mean, since when do cricketing whites have zippers?!).

Then guys like Vaughan come out in the media crucifying the Australian team, despite it being on record that he captained a team which used a player as a designated tamperer (who tested different mints and found the best for the job - illegal under the exact same law as this incident) who openly admits to it in his book.

Maybe we should have gone the Afridi route and just ate the ball?

Yeah I honestly don't give much of a shit about the ball tampering.

I'm still loving it though because the Australian team is full of campaigners and this might (read: 100% definitely won't) lead to change.

Thanks for that. A great scene from a great movie. Havent seen it in years.I remember when I came out of the cinema when I first watched the film, I said to my mate I don't know if I really understood it, but it was bloody entertaining. Love that snake skin jacket being a symbol of his individuality line.

Another NRL salary cap cheating saga. Manly have been slapped with a $750k fine for cheating in prior years. They wont lose competition points in 2018 because they are under the cap this year but will lose $330k in their cap total the next 2 year. They are dumb as dog shit given Melbourne got caught in 2010 and lost 2 premierships and in 2016 Parramatta lost competition points for their breach.

NUFC, YES.

Yeah. Vaughan waving his finger about this is like Matthews potting Robbie Gray over the McGovern bump.

If McGrath hadn't stepped on that ball the morning of the first day of the Second Test that boob would've remained a nobody.

Instead he, a couple of South Africans and an open-top full of hacks and one hit wonders collect a boatload of MBE's and sporting immortality.

Yuck.

Sounds like the Crows Mein Kampf, I mean mind camp. Taylah standing naked in the middle of blindfolded teammates who, with their hands wrapped with !eukotape, take it in turns fondling his testicles before ripping off strands of pubic hair.

This is the worst part about the ball tampering scandal

If it’s not “send bobs and vagine”, it’s this
If I learnt anything from travelling India as an Australian, it's that even the slum-dwelling, street vendors, barefoot and covered in the grime of an old and dirty city, looked down on me for my 'convict heritage'. They're obsessed with it and it's strange.

Well ****. I just got asked to be a groomsman in a wedding I strongly don't support. So many conflicts. I don't feel like it would be right if I said yes given how I feel about it.
perfect opportunity for actually shouting out when the 'does anyone have a reason they shouldn't get married' bit comes up. You'll make it a memorable wedding.

but seriously... if it clashes with a footy game, say no, otherwise - who cares

It does clash actually, lmao. That was the biggest issue when he initially told me the date.
