Steady employment, regular income (highest paid actor on the show fwiw), respectable hours, doesn't have to get a shitty part-time job every few weeks to pay the rent, food and bills, all up it's a pretty good gig farken, lol...
Smart enough not to have delusions of grandeur when he was younger so he didn't end up a waiter in some dive on the sunset strip.

That, too. But he did get into the acting caper a bit later than most. He was probably over this minor role/character actor shit by the time H&A came along.

And he's got network clout! One time, contracts were coming up and there was a pay dispute. Alf and Sally teamed up and went full Goodfellas on Channel 7.

"F@%k you, pay me!"

They paid, lol...

NUFC, YES.
how's his cv before home and away:

His early film roles included appearances Breaker Morant, The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith, Newsfront, My Brilliant Career and The Shiralee[1] He also had a cameo in the 1979 war comedy The Odd Angry Shot.

As respectable as any actor going around in the 70s/early 80s

What happen Ray?
Adelaide actor Brenton Whittle is another one.

Won the Best Lead Actor in a Miniseries Logie in 1983 in just his second ever role for the telemovie Sara Dane (and infamously kissed visiting English actor and co-host Dennis Waterman on the cheek in a gag gone awry while accepting), but was only able to parlay it into ongoing voiceover work and eventually, The Book Place.

Sure he had some bit-parts in a few big Aussie films along the way (The Lighthorsemen, Shine), but never exploited that early boost.

Given all those credits are South Australian productions, maybe he had a dose of the Roy Lairds?

Well ****. I just got asked to be a groomsman in a wedding I strongly don't support. So many conflicts. I don't feel like it would be right if I said yes given how I feel about it.
Is the over-showering masturbater getting hitched?

Geez talk about over-reaction.
Sth African guy got a fine for tampering in the second test. Both sides doing it this series. Holier than thou nonsense from CA
It very much appears that many facets of the Australian population, the media, much of the general public, some past and present cricketers and possibly the cricket hierarchy itself see this as an opportunity to take down the Australian cricket team and it's culture down a peg or six.

I have stated many times on this forum that cricketers are the worst people. Absolute campaigners of people. Cricket is an individual sport masquerading as a team sport. It's not like footy, or soccer or basketball. It' all about individual stats. Couple this with the time players have on their hands, either whilst waiting to bat or fielding in the slips, to think and speak if ways to hang shit on everybody else, the batsman, the shit bowler, the guy that drops a catch or simply the weakest...... make no mistake, these guys had it coming.

DA 2 sucked balls and ME 3 obviously had the disappointing ending. Pretty hard to get excited about new EA RPGs.

ME3 ending aside is brilliant. I can forgive the ending cause everything prior was amazing and the Tuchunka parts are the most incredible game experience I've had.

Yeah but they are probably like that the world over. Their recent wage fight played no part, I'm sure. To ban two of your best players for 12 months when even the ICC sees it as a match ban at worst reeks of score settling which is hardly going to get the administration onside with the players whose culture it wants to change.

Sam Pang has genuine wit. Taking the piss out of Kennett on The Front Bar. Loved how he got Jeff's 2000 published book Best Dog Poems. He was genuinely embarrassed as Sam read out the Chihuahua poem.
