Han solo review:
Okay despite being a complete mess but it just left me feeling totally fatigued with the amount of callbacks and references. This has compounded in the last few years. The quicker they move out of this timeline the better. That last cameo, Jesus Christ. More cringeworthy and pointless than Vader at the end of Rogue One. Who is that fan service even for?

In what way is the Vader appearance in rogue one pointless?

That movie time wise leads directly into the beginning of a new hope. The Vader scene is completely relevant. Also it’s probably one of the best scenes to come out of anything recently imo. Very little in the prequels and sequels really captured what most of us felt when we saw Vader as children. That scene reminded us.

Even if it was, it was fan service done right.
Yeah, mentioned the different on the media board. It can be done right.

For instance, having Xizor and Black Sun, from the Shadows of the Empire multimedia project, would have been fan service done right.
Instead we got something completely different.

It's strange that nobody complains about the fact that the Millenium Falcon is still getting around, owning space battles. Blatant fan service there.

Maggies, Spurs, Raiders?
One of these days I'm going to get on the turps and post an over 9,000 word essay discussing my favourite Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel and ah Handsome Family songs rated in order of least to most depressing with lyrics and YouTube and discuss it to death just so you guys can get the same whooping feeling I get whenever I scroll past a thousand words wrt Megadeth / Metallica or Star Wars Original vs New
