International one-day cricket pretty much died when a plodder like Michael Bevan ascended to the mantle of "best one-day batsman in the world" out of pushing 1's and 2's to all parts of the ground on his way to accumulating the most boring 100 imaginable.
Thanks finbarr. Finally someone has said it. Bevan was excruciating to watch. Test average of 29 says it all. His bowling was ok though.
