yep, encouraging people who probably have issues to begin with to kill animals for reward sounds like a cracker of an idea. nothing could possibly go wrong there. that's aside from the fact it's never going to actually achieve anything environmentally

Heaps of people collect cans/bottles. This sounds much more fun than rummaging through bins. Also, you get the warm fuzzy feeling your eradicating a pest. Also you can lick them and get high.

As with any ‘work for the dole’ initiative (as well as the stupid science in this one), if they are working it should be fair pay for a days work.
Otherwise they need the time to look for work.

I hope we don't lose any of our Magpies listed players to this scheme, they'd probably make more money from it than the SANFL allows them to be paid.
